Jed took over a team that was losing. One of the first things he did was promote Scot McCloughan over Nolan. Say what you will about Scot and his demons, but the dude knows talent.
He then fired Nolan in favor of Singletary, a popular move at the time. When it didn't work with Sing, he moved on quickly, promoted Baalke and hired Harbaugh. How'd that work out?
Hey, how much success did Eddie, Carmen Policy, or John York have getting a new stadium built?
Jed got the team back to prominence, got the stadium built....and in one offseason he's an idiot again. Sorry if I don't downshift that fast.
Sorry but jury is still out on Baalke. He has made several very questionable moves in free agency
What moves in FA have been questionable? Baalke has been bringing in quality FA's on the cheap since the day he got the job. I'd like to see what FA's you feel are sooooooo questionable and then compare the FA's Baalke has brought in to another GM you respect.
Jed hired Harbaugh. Unnamed sources claim Jed was reluctant and had to be talked into it by his advisors.
This is an outright lie and you know that to be true before even posting. It is widely known that Jed hired Baalke because Baalke was most likely to lure Harbaugh. There have been articles and confirmations and any 49er fan following the team as closely as you portray yourself as doing knows this.
That motherf**ker helped destroy our season. Tough to find another example of an owner pulling that s**t:
Maybe, but it's all opinion. You have no proof. I prefer to look at it like this. Harbaugh knew he was no longer wanted when they tried to trade him the the Browns. Harbaugh and his stubborn childish behaviour tanked our season rather than moving on when the writing was on the wall.
So he fires Harbaugh, lies to the media and fans about it then clumsily steps in last minute just as the Niners were about to Hire Denvers OC as Hc with a silly demand that the HC fire fangio and name Tomsula DC. The coach told Jed to f**k off and walked.
Again maybe, but there are reports that Baalke made a comment early in the season that the 49ers would have had a better record had they had JT coaching the team during their struggles. If we are believing ALL media reports (and you seem to only believe the Tim K. reports) then isn't just as likely that the conditions you speak of were Baalkes and not Jeds?
SF then went with plan B. Named Tomsula head coach. After an embarrassing search for a new oc and Dc the niners were forced to promote internal coaches instead cuz all the external candidates were not interested in this circus.
I would agree that hiring Tomsula resulted in people being wary of working for the former Dline coach and was likely the catalyst behind so many external candidates not being interested.
A field that is always s**tty. Half the Stadium is too hot and LOTS of empty seats during games.
This is still the most asinine criticism of the new stadium that I have ever heard. Ask the folks in Green Bay what they think of such criticisms lol. Yeah yeah blah blah it's nostalgic to watch football games in sub 0 weather. Eff that, it freaking blows. Trust me, I have sat on those metal bleacher seats on a frigid below 0 Sunday at Lambeau and it effing sucks. There isn't a St. Bernard big enough to drag the keg it would take to keep even one person warm enough, much less the entire stadium. I have had several offers of free tickets and pass nearly every time unless it's early fall.
