49ers lose 47-7: It's time to hold Jed York accountable--

I'll start this off with a confession/correction. I have to take something back that I wrote about the 49ers after their blowout loss to the Steelers.

It's to the point now where I'd be shocked if they didn't give Kaepernick another season after this one, provided he doesn't get killed behind this offensive line.

The 49ers are even worse than I thought, and I thought they'd go 6-10. Their offense makes the top high schools look professional by comparison, the defense isn't any better, and it doesn't look like the players expend any more energy for Jim "Dennis Erickson 2.0" Tomsula than they would for any other coach. Colin Kaepernick supposedly reworked his mechanics and everything else about the way he passes, but he threw two pick-sixes off his back foot in the first six minutes of this game.

What's amazing is the 49ers didn't like what they saw in Kaepernick a year ago, and their solution was to promote their quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator, hire a sports talk radio host from South Carolina as the new quarterbacks coach, and put a defensive line coach in charge of the entire operation. No matter what you thought of the previous regime, at least the pieces that were in place made some sense. Now it's just about money. Tomsula came cheap. They promoted two yes-men to the coordinator positions (Mangenius — LOLOL). They had enough cap room to sign Evan Mathis, but NO. They decided to trade for a Patriots reject in Jordan Devey instead.

They came into today's game, against a division opponent they've played fairly well against for several years, thinking they could make a statement. They made a statement, alright.

"We aren't better than we were a year ago. In fact, we are much, much worse."

But ripping Kaepernick, the offensive line, the secondary, the pass rush, Tomsula or the coordinators seems about as logical as yelling at first graders in a school bus when it shows up late. Who's driving the bus?

It's Jed York, of course.

There really isn't one. The ownership can walk around holding on to their junk all day because they have all the advantages right now. Maybe a few years down the road if the team is really terrible they might take notice but right now, with them hosting a SB this year, they are coming up all aces financially.

Lol another Bay Area sports writer to get dismissed by Niner Talk because he's a meanie
That nice little 3 year run was awesome and special....but at the end of the day, he is still a York.
The only way JY will be accountable is that he himself will hate the product on the field and make a change. I don't see him making one until the season is over - I think he respects Tomsula too much to immediately throw him under the bus like most of our fans already have - but I know he wants to win, and he wants to win badly. It'll just have to be on his terms, so don't expect to like him or his choices a lot of the time. He's gonna keep tweaking it until he gets the results he wants. He's Jerry Jones without the desire to be the GM.

No. We hate guys like Kawakami who hated Harbaugh when he was here and is probably partially responsible for getting him fired (York talk of winning with class probably had a little to do with the way Harbaugh dealt with the media). Wrote article after article about the FO looking past legal issues at the expense of winning.

So we fire Harbs, cut Ray Mac, cut Aldon. And what does Kawakami do? Writes another article saying the 49ers FO have no clue what they are doing cause they hired a yes man for a coach yada, yada yada. Kawakami is a tool and no one should ever read what he writes.

The above article is fine. Telling it like it is.

Can't imagine he enjoys getting beat 90-25 the past 2 weeks. No doubt he hates the product on the field. The question is if he has the brains to put the right pieces together. I think he expected the team to improve this year under Tomsula's leadership, and so far after 2 weeks, he's dead wrong. Lost talent has something to do with that, but there is zero excuse for the past 2 weeks. The team doesn't even look like they belonged in the same league as PIT and AZ.

I meant in terms of personality / hubris, not in football acumen (which is why JY doesn't decide player personnel and leaves that to Baalke to gather and Tomsula to coach)

The bolded is why I don't want this coaching staff to be apart of a new QB being drafted. Bring in somebody that knows what they are doing with a rookie QB and can stick around for a minimum of 3 or 4 years to grow with a young QB.
