Yeah.
he's ballin this year...no doubt.

HE looks so fresh and explosive. Some of the runs he's had remind me of his first and 2nd year with us...to me he's ressurected the belief that he can last 2 or 3 more years after this one.
Gore is having a fantastic season. I really hope he can sustain this success for another 2-3 years.

Dude's got nearly 900 yards and blocks like an Olineman. He was even calling the Kill/Let it Roll plays for Kaep at times....What doesn't he do?

I think it's because Gore's not know for breaking 60+ yard TD runs like AP or Johnson. Instead, Gore constantly break 10 yd or 20 yd gains. The guy is a baller. I'd much rather have his consistency at running than what AP or Johnson can do. Gore has to have the best vision in the league. He finds holes when I see none. Also, he's always getting Yards after Contact. Even in the process of being tackled, he gets 2-3 yards extra.

The guy's soft spoken and I think underrated as well. Most people wouldn't put him as a top5 back, even some not even putting him in top10. I say he very well might be a top3 back.

He's the "game manager" of RB's. The "Alex Smith" of RB's...LOL...tops in all the important statistical categories but doesn't get many carries or runs for over "ten yards." He's "efficient." Haha

Maybe we should start Kaep? I think he's averaging 10 plus yards a carry...
Yes, but he had a few extra to give, add in a big heart, and you got a great old player.
I'm really glad we stuck with him despite a lot of people wanting him gone a few years back. I never did but he definitely seemed down a bit. I think he was sick of losing, sick of a bad OL and was injured a lot. He was still a good RB but he seemed to just dive and get what he could a lot. He certainly lost some speed. However, since this new staff and with them playing Hunter and giving Gore breathers he is playing his best since like the 07 ish era. He is running really hard again but being smart at the same time. He's not as good as the 06 (1695 rush yds) but still damn good considering most RBs who ran like him would have been done 3-4 years ago. One way he has lasted this long is he stopped running over everybody (he still can if he wants to) and has become more patient. He follows his blockers; his vision is outstanding. He doesn't have the speed to break it every play but like someone mentioned he is consistently getting 10-20 yarders. He does a pretty good job avoiding contact and has let Hunter help him prolong his career. He knows when to check himself out as well. He doesn't have to run his legs off for us to win so that helps as well. He is signed for 2013 and 14 yet and I could see him still playing beyond that. Maybe not with us though. I could see James getting a good chunk of playing time next year. It could very well be a 3 RB attack. 40-55% gore, 25-35% hunter, 15-25% James.

As for his stats he is at 8456 and could very well get to 9000 by the end of the year. I'd say he ends up about 8800-8900. But if he gets like 50 or so percent of the carries he should be close to 10,000 after next year. He's at 10,992 all purpose yards and could very well get to 13,000 all purpose yards after next year or maybe a little after. He could end up around 25th overall in rushing if he gets around 10,200. All purpose at 13,000 haven't found a list that goes past 26 (14,500ish) so that would put him in the 35 or so range of all time yardage from non QBs.

He has and IT'S A DAMN SHAME.

When we were tanking to get the stars that we have today, this guy was running for 100 -200 a game.
When we were the laughingstock of the league at the end of the season at 4-12, he was the ONLY one that cried literally and was made fun of.
When we had the likes of Ken Dorsey, and Tim Rattay at the helm as a white flag to the league, this guy was going balls out every time, all the time.

DAMN SHAME.
That block on Briggs , most underrated aspect of Frank's game.

Should just change the name to the Frank Gore Appreciation Thread. Everyone including the ones that doubted him have turned this to a praising thread.

Nobody is hating on him but a few years back a good chunk of people wanted to not re-sign him and/or cut him.
