13 projected picks next year, I thought this year would be the year to sell the farm from someone we believe in but oh man next year we have 2 barnes to sell lol.

Players who are currently listed as 2013 FA
dont care what happens to these guys
Randy Moss - Might not even make the 2012 team
Brandon Jacobs - Might not make the 2012 team
Rock Cartwright - ST only, easily replaceable

Guys that matter in some form
Ted Ginn - Elite returner but marginal WR - we could probably re-sign him but I wont bat an eyelash if we let him walk
RJF - Currently the #1 DL backup, but we found him in the 7th round Comp pick range, IMHO he is replaceable but easy to re-sign
Andy Lee - I think we lock up Lee for the long term during the season or shortly thereafter
Isaac Sopoaga - I think Sopoaga is a bit underrated but I bet we re-sign him next year
Delanie Walker - He might attract a lot of attention but we've got Reuland developing but we could still re-sign

Imagine if we re-signed RJF, Lee, Sopoaga, Walker, and lost Ginn. Our biggest need next year would be WR, RB(I think Gore is done after this season ). Even if we pick 32nd I'd bet we could trade up into the late teens and snap up Marquess Wilson from WSU.

The pats traded up from 31 to 25 for nothing more then a 4th round pick, hell throw in that extra 3rd rounder we got from Carolina and it would be done deal IMHO.

There are some RFA's we'll have to address (mostly depth players), but there are couple more important UFA's in Larry Grant, and Dashon Goldson.

Hopefully we work out a contract for Goldson in the not too distant future, as he's pretty critical, but I also consider Grant to be pretty important. It's nice to know that if one of our pro-bowl ILB's go down or needs a breather, we have a backup that has proven to be more than capable to fill in.
The only thing confirmed is that we have 11 picks not 13 for 2013. We lost Snyder and Morgan. Anyone else? Didn't we lose a Williams the satey? Have we lost Chilo yet (I hope so)?

We signed Manningham and Jacobs from the giants, Moss and Cox don't count. Oh yeah Rock.

Synder, Morgan, and Costanzo will count as losses. while Manningham and Johnson count as gains (according to AB83). That should pretty much guarantee us at least 1 comp pick, possibly 2. Snyder and Morgan also signed the largest deals out of any of these players, so that helps.

Chilo signed with Chicago. We should get at least 1 comp pick I think.
So free agents next year will be
Cartwright who cares-might not even make the team this year)
Moss (I think he will do good and bolt for big money-aka Dieon Sanders)
Jacobs (if he makes the team)
Harrelson (gone after this year)
Ginn (probably gone after this year if not this year)
Bowman (restricted FA)
Goldson (third on priority after Bowman and Lee)
Lee (critical we resign)
Walker (gone after this year-Reuland will replace him)
RJF (gone-Ian will replace him)
Sopoaga (fourth priority unless we draft someone or they feel Tukuafu or the UDFA from stanford is capable)
Grant (If Bowman is gone then niners will look to resign him as his replacement)
I am sure their are other ST players whose jig will be up.
and everyone was mad when the niners didnt go outside to find a GM. Baalke has been money so far, the verdict is still out on this draft class but last year he found some legit talent and this year he probably did the same while giving us plenty of ammo for next years draft to replace a few of our out going FAs to keep our salary cap nice and healthy for years to come. we have an awesome GM.

Great post, thanks!

This. Shows vision and conviction.
Man, how do we go from crappy ownership, worst coaches and GMs in the league, worst talent in the league to the exact opposite and top of the heap in a mere year? I hope no one forgets our incredible horrid stretch from 2002 to beginning of 2011. When there is bit**ing and moaning, just think back to but a few short yrs ago when we were so bad , so utterly futile, for sooo long. And when you look back, it is almost incredible we ended up this way.

Luck: if Harbaugh had been coach of Vermont St., we never would have gotten him. Instead he coaches next door at Stanford. Talk about luck....

How we got baalke i'm not sure, other than he rose from below...i don't know how we got him nor his pedigree. Speaking of pedigree, McClown had the great pedigree working wth ron wolf at GB. Sure didn't make him a good GM tho. And this business of getting a little pipsqueak HC and GM in the same guy is a lock for never doing such a stupid thing again.

Which leaves ownership: truly the worst after the Eddie D fiasco, and we all suffered because of Eddie and his dam suitcase of money. Stupidity just killed us.
Bring on the reluctant yorks and we almost died, with no lite at the end of the tunnel. Then some yrs later, their kid is named Pres of 49ers, and in slow motion, we just started changing . We had to suffer thru both noln and then worse, BM, but in the end we get Peter Kings GM of the draft, plus COY and GM of yr. Jeez, go figure. To put it in perspective, the Houston oilers, now Tenn Titans never went to a SB. And they aren't the only ones. Some went 4 times and lost 'em all. Whatever is in the air here, (or maybe the water), we are lucky, blessed, and whatever else you can think of. We are legit contenders this yr after losing last yr on two PR fumbles because our PR was injured.

I don't see a SB on the horizon...i see many and contention for yrs. Coach and baalke haven't won a SB yet, but it is coming. Our coach is "of the age" meaning he is with the "NFL is a passing league", and our GM seems to be a cut, a pretty big cut, above the guys in 2nd place. We be lucky. Please don't forget that.

I think he could have turned over the first rounder too if Jenkins was who we liked.
Yes, it's amazing what you can do in one year with a coach, and Baalke for 3 years now bringing in the talent. Last years FA moves by Baalke were Genius, draft was Genius.

This years draft is exciting and we are set up for next year.

If the offense can step up like it should, with more weapons and second year in the same system......Dynasty BABY, DYNASTY AGAIN!!!!!

Just imagine we only had to endure 9 years of absolute hell to get where we are.

Think if Singletary had made the playoffs and maybe we don't get Harbaugh! DISASTER!!!!!
Just sooooo glad to see the years of suckage starting from top down is finally behind them.

these completely
I will always associates those losing years with Mike Adams the safety who scoffed at his contract offer as 'backup money' who didn't realized they were signing him for backup talent that he is, to be a starter.

That guy was awful I remember Westbrook stiff armed him on 70 yard TD run. Dude had no business starting in the NFL.
