I'm glad we signed him, but this whole RG thing has taken on a life of its own.

RG timeline:
1) We draft Kilgore.
2) Chilo is horrible, so Snyder steps in.
3) Snyder signs with the Cardinals.
4) We work out Leonard Davis.
5) We draft Looney and Slowey.
6) We move Boone to RG.
7) Looney is still recovering from an injury.
8) Slowey is mostly practicing at center.
9) We sign Leonard Davis.

Next is training camp, where hopefully, we can get this mystery at RG sorted out.

Our Oline is starting to look like Dallas in the early 90s, at least on the scale. Lets just hope they can play half as good...

LD plays bass in a band too. Him and Staley will be fast friends with Joe's love of singing and performing.

As Davis said, in the Niner's run-oriented offense, he'll be a good fit. He's a huge guy...strong and should be effective opening holes for Gore, Hunter, James & Jacobs. If nothing else, he's insurance in case Boone doesn't cut it or Harbaugh/Roman want to use him more as the swing OT, which he's better suited for. Never hurts to have an experienced vet on the squad.

I think this has more to do with putting in 6 and 7 linemen in the game. If you go C Goodwin, RG Boone, RT Davis, and then put L. Davis and V. Davis on the wing.....

i can hear it now "holding davis right side of the line . but the penalties offset cause the defense jumped in fear still 1st down"
