So soon? ( but glad you survived Sandy, Rub )

Feeling great despite the long wait for this game. Gonna need to get the ball out quick and also hit them with those inside run quick-hitters to combat their speedy DE rushers. Wonder if Danny Amendola will be playing. Go Niners!!!!

The Rams have good speed on defense, their D-Line and LB's are real quick ....but that speed wont help slow down our running attack one bit ...we will grind em down

I know ...this is going to be a long , grueling wait .......but our team should come back healthier and fresh , and maybe with a few surprises to add to the bag of tricks ....they have time to put in a few new things , but two consecutive sundays without our Niners ...going to be a tough stretch thats for sure

Probably go with a good bit of misdirection to use their speed against them.. maybe?

Think I'd like to see Tarell Brown vs Amendola, if he plays. He's just so quick, and I don't think that makes a favorable matchup for Rogers or Culliver.

( though they are good vs bigger WRs when not playing 10 yds off )
A couple stats for anyone curious:

tied for 2nd - 40+ yarders given up with 2. 20+ yarders given up 3rd with 16. Wonder how many of those were actually that long in the air? I would think those game from a short catch turned into a long gain. The Lions game Bell screen for 53? would be one of those 40+ yarders and that was a screen with a missed tackle.

Tied for 1st (ravens bears) in td's given up passing at 6.

2nd in QB rating at 72.6 against us, bears 1st at a ridiculous 62.0. Also, it's more impressive because we are 2nd in passing attempts against us at 41.4 a game behind only Miami at 44.

1st in ppg on d with 12.9.

Man it has been a pleasure watching this d the past few years. You don't realize how lucky we are until you go back and look at those d's giving up 30 a game. This is probably our best secondary in 10+ years. Maybe since the mid to late 90s.

Matt Maiocco ‏@MaioccoCSN 49ers are off until next Tuesday. That's a lot of free time. Ray McDonald: "We're all dedicated. Nobody wants to be guy who lets team down."

Thanks for sharing. Wow, a full week but I bet players will be coming in and working out/studying anyways. Or working out on their own. Those guys can't just sit around for a week. Still maybe some lighter workouts and get their bodies rested for the final stretch. 4 out of the last 6 on the road, if we make the playoffs it will get even more tough.

Interestingly, the Rams also have a bye. And since they played in London (which means it took a day to get back), both teams will have 13 days to prepare.
We need to dominate this game to show we are serious in the NFC West. We should not lose to anybody in the West.
