And while I think he's a borderline candidate, the fact that he'll likely never even be discussed in the room by the final selectors is a shame.
He leads the niners in career sacks, while Bosa will break it if he remains a niner, BY did it from the DT position. Basing it on only sacks is silly. Not to mention he continued to play on a niner's team that started to go south late in his career. What he did is incredible. The fact that a lot of big name OL opponents vouched for him to be included, says it all. How he affected the run game has to taken into account. They didn't have those numbers that have now to show his worth.

He is a HOF guy to me, player I guess not. He gave up money to stay on a bad 49ers team in the mid 2000s, he was a true 49er. I was so mad when he would get passed up for not being a high sack guy. He did it all, he is our Justin Smith of the early 2000s. He did everything asked of him, worthy of at least the 49ers HOF. Loved BY, and always will. No one has worn #97 since he retired, hoping they retire the number.
Bosa is wearing his number.

For those that didn't see the knock on the door when he was informed in its entirety, here is the link including when Haley pushed him in the pool-haha

2022 Extended knock - Bryant Young

Byant Young Full Hall of Fame speech
Bryant Young is 2nd all time in 49er career sacks with 89.5 in 14 seasons. Cedric Hardman is the leader with 108 in 10 years. Still being #2 whhen palying inside most of your career is quite an accomplishment. His strength was amazing. He could toss guys aside with one arm. When you watch film of his tackles he always made them cleanly. Never a dirty player.

The fact that he won 8 Eshmont awards when no other player has won more than 2 says it all about the respect he had from his team. Think about that. Lott, Rice, Montana, Young and all the other greats in this franchise history and he's the only one to win more than twice.
Highly highly underrated even with his HoF.

The NFL didn't begin to officially count sacks until after Hardman's career-that number is supposedly unofficial which may be more or less from what I remember when they about sacks from players of that era

He was also dominant after that gruesome injury in '98. One of my all-time favorite 49ers.
Man was his speech amazing ! RIP to his son Kobe, just goes to show you no matter who you are, how much money, fame, you never know what ppl are truly going through, cancer doesn't discriminate, I live by health, happiness, love and loyalty. United we stand divided we fall !
Hell of player. So happy for him.

Watching the Ceremony/Jets Roast

I saw three Sam Mills touchdowns against the Jets in the highlight package, and he rarely played against them.

Richard Seymour of course had highlights against the Jets. 3 plays dominating the Jets and nothing shown vs the Bills or Dolphins.

Art McNally must have thrown some flags on the Jets
Congratulations BY!!!

Long overdue.
Congratulations to Bryant Young on the Hall of Fame induction!
We should pin every HOF player.
Wow.. that speech gave me the feels big time geez.. as my son is about the same age as his. What a great player and an incredible person. Congrats BY!
