linkboy, I'm well aware of the *current* league rules regarding alternates/throwbacks, but remember, that silly 2-game rule can be bent, apparently especially in anniversary years (and was actually in 2009, when all the original AFL teams were allowed to have more than 2 games, home AND away, in their throwbacks)...since 2014 is both an inaugural (new stadium) and anniversary (1994 Super Bowl) season, if the 49ers request the league early enough, they perhaps could be allowed an exemption from the 2-game limit (i would also add the excuse of "honoring" the team's early years and legacy in SF all season long, which is why I include the "49" old-school chest patch as a design element, though I'm sure the team will probably just have an "Inaugural Season" Santa Clara/New Stadium patch instead). Besides, the Niners can volunteer themselves as the "test dummy" team for the League's 100th anniversary season in 2019 when I'm certain nearly all teams will have multiple throwback/"fauxback"/alternate uniform games...

It cracks me up how emotional people are on this subject. As if someone from the 49er brass is paying attention...................... Are they?

I like em the way they are right now, clean and simple. Not a big fan of the black shading.

Me personally, I like uniforms and the history that goes along with them. Sports uniforms or military uniforms, it doesn't matter.

I also hate seeing perfectly good uniform designs get thrown to the wayside for no good reason. That's one reason why I'm glad we finally wised up and went back to our classic uniforms (with a modern update).

We'd never have throwback uniforms if we didn't make changes.

I think they should go back to the shiny gold pants. It looked better in HD, and matched the helmets. I dig the look we have going now. It's a nod to the old school style, but the shiny gold popped. They should go back to it.
