I'd be down for bringing Bowman back to fill up some snaps, play 1st and 2nd down and then hit the sidelines. Considering whats out there in FA, Bowman + one or two rookie LBs to go along with Coyle and Malcolm Smith doesn't sound so bad.

I just don't think bowman would come back if asked. Maybe I'm wrong.

why the hell would he even consider coming back here
Navarro lives in the Rose Garden, SJ very close to Levi's, Probably why he went with the Raiders, so he would not have to move himself and family. That would be a strong argument for him considering signing back with the niners. But that ship has sailed, IMO.

He just might consider it because:
  • he's a FA …
  • it's still early, but it's possible no other team calls with an acceptable offer …
  • he and his family, still in the Bay Area …
  • like everyone else, he still has monthly expenses …
  • he'll be 30 YO the 28th of May …
  • his big paydays with extended contracts, are probably over …

Putting his pride aside, and coming back to the NIners, would make sense in the roll Phoenix outlined.

Then again, he might be in the chasing that last big paycheck mode … and decide to go wherever the cashflow is the greatest

Bowman wanted to leave. He's where he wants to be right now

Which is where … as a FA, and no team/s) calling (as far as we know, to date).
Other players have gone back to the team which drafted them, after being
released ?? So although it's unlikely, it's not an impossibility …

Which is off this team
I will be on the 49ers roster before he ever comes back lol
I'm guessing teams are waiting until after the draft to sign Bowman. Especially the Raiders. If they grab either Roquan or Tremaine in RD 1, I doubt they resign Bowman.

there is no reason to wait unless teams are trying to low ball offer him. Even then, they can just sign and release him before the season/Contract can take effect if they don;t need him anymore

If they had a QB that coule give them a breather, they'd still be playing at a high level now.
