well you gotta remember, half of this forum isn't old enough to have seen the superbowls

and most of the other half is filled with idiots

soo
and many of them think the only super bowl the niners were in was 94

Yeah, I wonder if many fans remember Todd Kelly or the Dex?

Todd Kelly - man was that due WAY overhyped.
Steeeeeve! Where do you think I got my name from?

I became a Niner fan because of Joe and Jerry but Joe became a Niner before I was even born so most of what I watched and remembered was of Steve.

Honestly, being a Niner fan you were always asked this question but I could never choose until now. But I think a lot of it has to do with not only being too young to watch Montana in his early years but I still remember Steve getting a lot of the heat for not living up to Joe, other QBs getting recognition over Steve even though he was better than all of them at the time (Aikman, Favre, Manning), and ok, I admit, I thought he was hot and still do.

Now he has a son, who plays DB, that is being recruited by major college programs. One of the top DBs in the Southeast.

Carmazzi was such a head scratcher pick; I think he barely played.

Doman-here's a player who came from a prolific BYU system which didn't translate in the next level
Steve Young
Alex Smith
Joe Montana

Joe, no question

but i hope Kaep changes that

Carmazzi was talented, but blew out his throwing shoulder in NFL Europe as a rookie
Haha it's crazy how Young and Montana are dead even in the rankings!
How did "other" get more votes than Tittle or Brodie? Where are all the old timers!?

I could be missing something but S.Y. lost to two outta three of those qbs'. I think S.Y. has won one game against both qbs, maybe two or three against Aikman. Farve has owned the niners except for "the catch 2" game. While the third was a rookie I believe. Manning's rookie year was in '98 or '99 bout the same time Young was forced into retirement. You can't really compare a 7-9 veteran against a rookie. So outside of you being a niners' fan, how is Young better than any of those qbs at that time?
