I know that Joe was the better quarterback and certainly achieved more in terms of titles, but Steve was my favorite for his outgoing personality. Nothing wrong with Joe, but Steve is kind of an everyman, albeit a rich one for sure!

I can't believe the people that didn't pick Joe. Young and Kaep are great but Joe's the greatest ever.

When I was a kid, John Brodie. For a long time Joe Montana was my favorite. Then for many years, Steve Young was my favorite. In the late 90's my clear favorite was Jeff Garcia. For some years during the early part of this current century, Alex Smith was my favorite. But, I have to say, today my favorite Niner QB is Colin Kaepernick.

I read where they are giving him a pro day tryout. I don't understand, all the kid has is the name. He played at 4 different colleges finishing up at a D2 school putting up numbers that would not look good in the 1965 NFL.

Only followed for one season of Joe so it was all about Steve for me, having said that Kaep could well take that spot if we win the big one.

I picked Steve, only because being born in 81, I am too young to remember much of Joe's career.
