but he NEVER faced not beat the 1990's Troy-Emmit-Irvin led Cowboys (except on Veterans Day 11/11/1990, which no one remembers cos its been erased from the annals of NFL history by Jerry Jones...)

Doesn't hurt to study up on history.
I agree but thats why i dont take this thread really serious. While montana currently imo is best qb ever, theres no harm in believing if Kaep continues to perform at the top level he seems to have dedicated himself to playing at he couldnt be knocking at montana or youngs doors of greatness.
After he knocks down 4 or 5 Lombardis, he'll be up there

Steve Young. I respect the hell out of Joe but my formative years as a Niner fan were with Steve Young at the Helm.

Who is your favorite Niners QB and why?
Mine is Joe Montana and his accomplishments says it all. It's why I became a Niner fan growing up as a kid in the 80s.
JM for sure. Grew up in the 80s as well. How is this even a poll... 4 Super Bowls for Joe Cool.
For a reason, Young has the appeal. Getting a win against the Cowboys during that era will get you recognition. Don't forget against a Favre led Packers squad as well. Also, didn't he make a cameo appearance on Lois and Clark?

Gragg was an awesome OL man. I loved it when he came out of retirement to help shore up the Niners offensive line!

Montana rooted against the Niners in the Super Bowl XXIX vs the Chargers, plus he's a pompous f*ck IRL
IMO:
Young > Kap > Montana
I've met all three, Young and Kap both very cool guys.

And that is before their dominant run.
