Curry, 33, a seven-year NFL veteran, played in 76 games (32 starts) and registered 193 receptions for 2,347 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Oakland Raiders. He is reunited with 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh, who was an offensive assistant on the Raiders staff from 2002-03, and 49ers wide receivers coach John Morton, who held the same position with the Raiders in 2002.
Although Curry enters just his first year of professional coaching, he has studied under Hall of Famers Fred Biletnikoff (2003-06) and James Lofton (2008). Curry spent the past three years at Morrisville High School in Morrisville, NC, as athletic director and head football coach.
