Yeah, you're right...off coverage killed us in many cases today but Brooks came through for us again when it mattered most.

FYI: I noticed when Cox was lined up in the slot, he had the same technique. Maybe thl408 or johnnydel can break that technique down. Would be interetsing.

Fangio is awesome...when you have taller guys like Reid, Lynch, Justin, etc. coming right at a 5'10 skinny dude, that's NOT easy to tackle on a blitz...props to Brees for making plays. Fangio had balls today. The only real time we got hurt was when we did play off on blitzes or that critical 3rd/4th down or when Graham was 1on1. Excellent called game overall though!

And I don't mean to put down Ward/Cox in the slot...it was just an observation and was wondering if anyone else is seeing them in trail mode right off the LOS. It sure seems like a coaching tactic.

This. And Aaron Lynch has earned the right to have significant playing time, so perhaps we get to see the two together. I'm not expecting the world from Aldon Smith, but defenses do have someone else that have to account for which should open up things for other guys. Maybe Ahmad Brooks will more like the All-Pro that he is.

I was noticing that Brooks looks much more ripped this game as well. Playing the WILL so much will do that for you!

At this point it's a technique though on a couple of plays ward was spun around just flat out beat but that's OK.
and reid has to have his back on the t.d. pass but s**t both of the dudes were open lol.

but we're there with a pass rush these guy can cover.

I am. Aldon has been waiting for this for 10 weeks. he's missed out and watched us go through hell
he's going to unleash immediately you can bet that.
