So our D won yet another game.

That being said, has anyone else noticed that we almost always give up one inexplicably easy TD drive per game? Just kinda frustrating because D is lockdown for the rest of the game.

the defense cannot be expected to be perfect. the other team are nfl caliber players. i don't mind it one bit because i know that adjustments will be made. i feel if a team is going to score they better do as much as they can early because once vic makes his adjustments all of that stuff is going to stop.
if not for turnovers and a bogus penalty they don't even get 13. they'll keep doing their job.

This. Even the greatest defenses of all time make mistakes.

Like it or not Fangio was average at best Dc until the old jets coach Eric Mangini came over and was a consultant to the team last year! He taught Fangio how to play combination conerages instead of just that man zone. That is why we were able to be more competitive against the seahawks the last two times we played them!

Mangini was hired to consult with the offense not the defense. He talked with Roman and the O staff about how defenses would play certain plays and gave them a better understanding of how defenses work. And yeah since he was hired in 2013 our O has went downhill and now that he's a TE coach our TE's have went downhill. So not only did he not help the defense he's hurt the offense.

I think Seifort had great talent and a great offense to keep that defense rested. Today it's sorta opposite.

Very very very impressive no matter how you slice it. Very! I would imagine the PPG is higher d/t Alex and the offense being more efficient in the short game, controlling the TOP, less INT's in our territory, etc.? Thanks DeUh for all your hard work!

The picks deep in our territory that led to TD's in the Chicago game and the defensive/ST touchdowns against Philly really skew the PPG numbers. The defense has been fantastic this year.
I understand the offense deserves all the blame tonight, but I've never seen our D step up for an entire game, 60 minutes. There's always one big mistake and it happened again tonight.
How many times are we going to play seattle and you bring a house blitz to have them simply release one man to be wide open for a huge gain or a touchdown

that's all i want to know. this is the 3rd game in a row at least.

other than that good job.
I wonder how loyal Fangio is to Harbs? We see how loyal Harbs is being to Roman, does that carry any weight with Fangio? Something to think about if we're looking to fire Harbs at some point, because Fangio is one guy we'd definitely want to see stick around.
