During one-on-one drills, WR Quinton Patton was matched against Reid. Patton turned Reid around with a post-corner route and latched onto a one-handed catch 30 yards down the field on a throw from Kaepernick. Patton is nursing an injury to the index finger on his left hand, so he made the grab with his right hand.

Patton with one arm is better than most of our other receivers with double the experience and arms.

I love it! Alphas fighting for a roster spot broken up by the alpha dawg.. Energy and direction.
Seems like Jenkins always has his good days on days where they arent wearing full pads or are doing non contact drills.

Sounds like Jenkins had one of his better days in camp according to MM.

Practice summary: A.J. Jenkins had a strong bounce-back practice with three nice receptions just one day after the 49ers' top pick of 2012 was the only wideout held without a catch.

Jenkins, meanwhile, did nothing to hurt his cause on Tuesday. He made a good catch on a deep out from quarterback Colin Kaepernick against the coverage of starting cornerback Carlos Rogers. He had a good catch along the sideline against Tarell Brown on the other side. He also demonstrated strong hands to haul in a 17-yard pass over the middle as cornerback Darryl Morris tried to rake the ball out of his grasp.

Yea, Vernon is a complete beast. He might not be the biggest guy around, but heck there is a lot of power in that package. Do you remember when he went on Sports Science ? Man, he is not just strong, he is frigging explosive too. This dude is my favourite 9er !!

Does anybody have video of lemonier from last game?

Thanks NinerGM! Glad to know the young guy is doing so well. Loved the write-ups about him predraft as they indicated his speed off the LOS and his ability to separate...a noticeable problem for this team in the past.

I think there is just less to get in his head when there is no contact. He can run his route without hands on him, the pace is a little slower, there is no bump and run coverage. You get to see what he could be if he learns to overcome distraction. He reminds me of a batter who is in a slump. He is thinking about it to much in game type scenarios...but man he can still hit it when taking BP.
