I would be shocked if he doesn't make it. We will find out for sure soon though
I have never been keen about Jenkins and so far he has proven me right. But, to know for sure we will find out soon. The 1st preseason game against the Broncos is just around the corner. I can't wait to see which WRs will stand out.

Reid will likely win the job, but is he disciplined enough to prevent the big plays we were so good at last season?
I think we better hope that we have such great defensive line play this season that we don't have to worry about the safeties not being great.
Yea, I hope the d-line is better too. You can really mask a bad secondary with a great front 7. I think with tank, dorsey, dial, and lemonier will add a nice boost to our front 7. Last year we had no talent for backups on the line and LBs. I am more optimistic incase someone goes down. We really need both smiths healthy to be dominant like 2011.

Second-year outside linebacker Cam Johnson had another strong practice, including a sack when he got past rookie tackle Carter Bykowski. Johnson finally is healthy, and he garnered praise Friday from defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.
I thought backup inside linebacker Nate Stupar had a good afternoon. He got a lot of repetitions and seemed to be all over the field. At one point, he tipped a pass from Colt McCoy to McDonald in the middle of the field. It went into the air and was intercepted by Spillman.

The pass rush was VERY inconsistent last year, but the pass defense was still solid. We have the best tackling CBs in the game, and the safeties played disciplined for the most part. We have better depth this season and the pass rush should improve with the additions of Lemonier and Carradine. However, far too often it is Aldon or bust. We can't have that happen this season.

As far as WRs go, at this point, my suggestion would be to take a more serious look at Osgood as WR as opposed to special teams given he is the only proven commodity if you will. As for the rest of the younger guys, let them fight it out and see how things unfold. If Osgood looks good at WR, then he has to come off the kick-off unit as it will be too much risk for injury.

Hopefully Justin Smith works on that hook.

My prediction in the "Bold Prediction" thread was I think he will be cut at the end of the season. So, you are saying if he is not No.3, he will be cut now ? Not even the practice squad ? Wow, that's BOLD !! LOL. But, hey it makes sense, there is no point to drag on the pain if the guy just doesn't have it. Might as well cut your losses and draft a proper top wideout next year.
