Yes, worse than a lineman.

Looks like we went from championship to champions**t in just a couple practices

1. Colin Kaepernick – All of his passes have been on the money this training camp, especially the deep ones. This morning, Kaepernick was on fire in 11-on-11 drills against the first-team defense. First, he hit Anquan Boldin on a post route for a 20-yard gain. Next, Kaepernick threaded the needle between two defenders to hit Chad Hall over the middle. Next, Kaepernck hit Hall on a deep corner route for a 30-yard gain. Next, Kaepernick hit Bruce Miller deep for a 20-yard gain. Here were Kaepernick's three final throws of the day – 40-yard completion to Anquan Boldin, 20-yard completion to Chad Hall, 50-yard touchdown pass to Vernon Davis.

Whacking off to Cohn material.

you must have missed the memo, we are supposed to relax because he will turn it on any day now

you must have missed the memo, we are supposed to freak out because camp just started and Jenkins dropped 2 passes. catastrophic

Thats what ive been trying to explain to you this whole time

yeah because 2 dropped passes are just as big of a deal as CK wearing a Dolphins cap.

I think it's a little more than 2 drops, its his inability to get open and stay on his feet. I agree that it's waaaay too early to jump on Jenkins, but he really needs to step up this summer. He is vitally important to this team for not only this year, but the next 2 when Crabs will become a FA. If we flopped on AJ, we basically have to start over from scratch. The guys we passed on like Broyles, Randle, Hill, Jefferies, Sanu, Hilton didn't have monster rookie years, but AJ was downright miserable, nobody can deny that fact especially since we were short on WR's late last year. Now he had an entire offseason in the offense, worked with Kap in Atlanta and has been given the chance to grab the #2 spot, when we desperately need him to....so yeah, he's gonna get put under a microscope, and rightfully so. Excuses for him are running short, he needs to step the f*ck up!

Is way more than 2 drops, I can dig out the articles and do a tally. If I am not wrong is over 10 already.

over 10? lol ur full of s**t until you do

OK, I just counted based on Matt Barrows' reports, not quite 10, the tally up to Day 4 is 16 targets and 7 receptions. Near enough.

That doesn't mean he's DROPPED every incompletion.

No, it doesn't, but it also doesn't mean he BEAT the DBs in every incompletion neither.

"Vance McDonald: five targets, two receptions " http://blogs.sacbee.com/49ers/archives/2013/07/training-camp-d5-aj-jenkins-suffers-hamstring-strain-wr-corps-thinning.html#storylink=cpy

3 DROPS, BUST!!

Chad Hall, Mr Air Force our WR savior??? When I read about him going to ATL with Kap I thought nothing of it, but it sounds like he's doing some nice things in camp so far.

Just a reminder...this was what Hall did his Sr year at AF ( granted, not the SEC )

230 rushes
1478 yards
15 TD
50 catches
524 yards
1TD
Plus another 700 return yards

Now if he was only 4 in taller and 20 lbs heavier

Kid has heart and I will take it regardless of his size. Steve Smith isn't that tall either but he is a man for sure!!
Damn, it's really a shame that Patton got his digit busted up, this would have been such a great opportunity for him to step up. However, at least its a finger and not anything with his legs. He's still able to work on his route running and get playbook reps. It's gonna take some time to heal for sure, especially catching 94mph heaters.

plus, it's not even August yet... give his fingers a few weeks, but he can at least still run full speed and get in and out of his breaks...

Hes practicing running routes hes just not grabbing the ball. He may still have a decent shot.

Are there 49ers WR Applications Forms that we can pick up to fill in ? LOL.

LOL...I'm about the same size as well and I'm 80% healed from my achillies rupture (LOL no lie). But I can catch man!!!!!!!!! I say we sign up!!!

He better develop callused hands and get out there and catch the pill like Boldin and Chad are doing

Just for comparison sake....

Chad Hall = 5'8"....187lbs.....4.56 forty
Steve Smith = 5'9"....185lbs....4.41 forty
Wes Welker = 5'9".....185lbs....4.61 forty

Technically he is the same size as two of the best WR's over the past several years. Remains to be seen if he can make anything close to the impact Smith and Welker have. Smith does line up on the outside, but Hall is probably better suited in the slot. Lets just throw it out there and say Hall does in fact win the starting slot job and Kyle Williams comes back healthy and wins the #2 on the outside. How will those two match up against bigger CB's like Seattle has? With the new passing rules, is having two cat quick guys like that running around underneath while Kap buys time actually an advantage? Vern can blow the top off and Boldin can still stick that intermediate route. Would a 3 wide set of Boldin, Williams, Hall while Vern runs the seam and Gore handles the backfield be enough to get it done, especially if we have to play catchup in the 2nd half of a game? Or need to drive the length of the field in 2 min? What do you guys think? Brady got it done like that with mini-mites for years.

Very interested to see how this all shakes out.

Boldin is a monster
On the NBCSN segment for the 49ers Training Camp it showed Kaep throwing a beautiful pass down the middle 20+ yards to a Vernon Davis who had just beat Patrick Willis to jump up for one of his infamous body catches.

Matt M. also mentioned that Vernon hasn't really been getting that many reps at W.R., but he was maybe getting them in the closed practices.
