Dude, you're going to give yourself an aneurysm. Seriously. There are still a couple weeks left in training camp and four weeks of pre-season games. That's not denial, it's just reality. If things look like this in late August, sure, go ahead and panic.

Good! Soon we'll see if someone besides Davis and Boldin can catch a fricking pass in a game. And, let's remember that as far as anyone knows, Manningham is scheduled to be ready for the start of the regular season. I'm pretty sure he can catch a pass.

The question is if after the preseason games Jenkins is still a pile of crap, what are they going to do about it, if they are going to do anything about it at all ??!! Still stick him on the roster and let him read magazines on the sideline during games ?!

It's a good question. If he really hasn't stepped up by the time the regular season begins, my guess is that he still makes the roster and has this season to try to pull it together. And, if he doesn't pull it together at some point this season he's gone next year. I think they give him two full seasons at least because he's a first rounder.

Yep that sounds about right because of the "1st round pick status" and nothing more. Or until he drops a few balls, give a way a couple of INTs and even us losing a game or two, then Baalke and Harbaugh just might wake up to reality and do something about it.

It's too bad that these things happen this way for first rounders, but if you look at it from their standpoint, they're not paying a lot of money for him, they still see potential or they wouldn't have spent the pick in the first place, so they probably have to give him as much time as possible and a lot more than most players would get.

Greg Roman on WR Marlon Moore: "He's definitely a guy that's jumped off the screen so far."

As much as I have slammed Brandon Lloyd (I admit to being one of the biggest Lloyd haters around here), I have to say that if things don't start getting a lot better soon, I guess I wouldn't mind seeing his vain mug in a Niner helmet again. The concussion thing with Collie just worries me a little too much. This is a division with brutal defenses and artificial surfaces. At least at this point, Lloyd would come cheap.

Great! Let's hope this continues and we can forget my previous remark about Brandon Lloyd.

Hearing a lot of good stuff about Chad Hall. Can you see him upsetting the field and earning #2spot? And what other player in the NFL at this point would you compare him to?

Kyle Williams will have something to say about that. And Mario Manningham might be the No. 2 when he gets healthy. But, yes, Chad Hall has been the best of the young receivers. Right now, he deserves to be the guy opposite of Anquan Boldin.

Found this interesting

chad hall is garbage, he one of those guys who looks good in practice when the pressure is off and stinks in stressful game situations.

our best WR is our TE.

I know,,,, How am i supposed to feel about this?? happy cuz vernon can do the job,,,, upset cuz a tight end is our best wide out,,, that is like in 1997 when steve young was our best running back . people just assume vernon can be a wide out which is fine but the bigger issue who will be his replacement at tight end which is a HUGE source of strength for us?? You just assume or think a rookie tight end can do the job?? that is a helluva gamble. Kind of like the front office drafting a wide out in the first round who seems to be unprepared for the nfl even after two full off seasons under his belt. a tight end may be our best wide out,, how the f**k am i supposed to process this??

Vernon will still play TE. I think the only reason Vernon has been practicing as a wr is to improve his route running ans further emphasize that portion of hos skill set this season to allow him to play more of a Witten/Graham role rather than the primarily blocking role he played previously
