Sounds A LOT like what Welker made a living on doing for years. Remember, Wes did nothing before going to NE in 06 at the age of 26, Chad just turned 27. Hall is the same exact size but with a faster 40.....don't want to jump the gun, but with Chad working out with Kap all offseason, this guy is getting me pumped up!!!!!!
Sure, if you count 96 receptions in 2 years with the Dolphins as nothing.

29 catches for 434 and 0 TD
67 catches for 688 and 1 TD

Then

112 catches for 1175 and 8 TD

Compared to his first year in NE and what he did after, yeah, pretty much nothing...

I would say Chad Hall and Marlon Moore did more of what would be characterized as "nothing." A little over 100 yards is the best they've done in a season over a few seasons. Lockette as a rookie? Same thing. A little over 100 yards. We're hoping and praying for someone to emerge.

I'm hoping for the best. We'll see if Hall, Lockette, or Moore can be the sudden contributor we need.

What would be nice is if Jenkins could come out and prove me wrong and play to the level of his draft slot.

Yeah man, I think we would all feel much better about our situation if we got something out of AJ last year and we were hearing about how he's taken the next step since the pads went on. Its still way too early to write him off, he's got the speed and the hands and the college numbers to say he will come around. Even his college coach said that he got off to a real slow start in college, but once he got up to speed, he was dominate. I really hope this is a case of a kid just being a late bloomer and thinking too much early on. He needs to let it fly. No matter if we've been bashing him or protecting him like a 2nd graders mother, we can ALL agree that we want to see him succeed. He needs to make it happen.

Don't trust Maiocco. That's the same dude who couldn't see Kap's talents despite watching him practice every single day.

Now if he were grading the receivers' english papers...then I'd be all eyes and ears to his opinions.

Dang, you are extra cranky today.
Not cranky, I'm just saying. All of these overreactions are based on the opinions of a bunch of english majors who have a history of not being able to identify talent.

Overreaction is par for the course in Niner Talk. The bases vary, but the result is predictable.

Not exactly. MM's report on Kap aligns with what Harbaugh said about him in that they didn't think Kap was going to be this good according to how his training camp went. Harbaugh going further and calling Kap a "gamer".

So, MM was fairly accurate.

OK LETS PLAY!!!!

In 2010 he had 11 catches for 115 yards and 1 TD

If he makes a Welker like jump =

+45 catches
+487 yards

Chad Hall should get.....drum roll please!!!!.........

56 catches....602 yards!!!!

That's actually not a bad projection...lol

I'll bet a good amount of these dudes think they can just sit around all summer then go full speed when TC comes around.
