I hope they do not sign larry grant although sounds like willis will be ready for the first game of the year. I see his henchman bowman is nursing a groin injury. Now maybe they will sign a scrub to help them get through pre season, much like they are thinking of doing in regards to the wide outs. i do enjoy seeing the kids get reps and fill in but of course you do not want that situation to occur when the bullets start to fly for real
Really hope the injury bug is getting itself out of the way early here and wont last throughout the year. As long as Kaep remains upright we can win 10 games regardless of who is out, but it wont be as easy thats for sure.

at least it did not affect the legs of patrick, he has played with a cast before and he is probably better with a cast on one wrist as compared to most guys with two healthy arms. If it is just a slight fracture maybe he can come back to play a quarter in the last pre season game. Now i know some of you think he could be ok with no pre season. I disagree and say he needs a small bit of work to shake off the rust,. i remember jerry rice held out one time, many thought it was so big deal cuz he is a studd but the first game of the regular season, he goes in there, is rusty and makes about three false start penalities. I remember the game was on tv and madden ripped his ass saying a wide out should never be off sides. i am actually more concerned about the groin pull by his henchman bowman. those things could linger so hope he takes some time off and let the kids duke it out

Willis will be ok for the season, he has consistently performed at a high level every time TC opens with many beat writers saying "Willis and Bowman picked up right where they left off." Dont get confused it doesnt mean he wont practice or get his body ready to go for the opener. He will be fine and they are just gonna hold him out of preseason games because they are meaningless and it gives them a better opportunity to evaluate the back ups.

Willis has always come to camp ready to ball, and he will be ready for the opener guaranteed.

agree,, for some reason i am not even concerning myself with this due to the fact its willis, he will play game one, as long as he keeps his legs in shape, he will be his old self on game one and of course i am happy , if it were happen, it happens now. the wide out thing having only three healthy guys with one being on the wrong side of 30 before we have even played a game is more troubling to me but sounds like they have a plan b and I am sure kyle will be ready on game one and at least two of the kids
omg, patrick willis has a died.

Strange, I know, but he seems to play better when his right hand is fractured. It's just weird...
"@mattbarrows: Willis broke his hand in 2007, missed zero games & led the NFL in tackles; Did it again in 2010, missed one game & finished 10th in tackles."

calm down this is the norm for pat.

Why do you hope they don't sign Grant? Seems like the perfect solution to me. I'm amazed he's still a FA. He could easily get us through camp without having to have PW or NB take unnecessary reps and then once they are back and healthy, we won't miss him during his four game suspension. And given the suspension and the fact that he's still unsigned, it seems we could have a very capable backup for both of them on the cheap, which if either of these injuries (or something else) pops up or worsens during the season, would be invaluable.

I do not know,, i really do not know. i know that was not what you were looking for but you have to like my honesty. i like the fact he did well when he filled in for patrick a couple years ago. i guess cuz I felt he was one of the people who made our special ed teams special ed. i guess cuz i would rather have some young, hungry kids in those spots. i know those are bad reasons but again,, i really do not know why I feel the way i do. what you say makes perfect sense and yes without willis and his henchmen bowman, maybe they need to go out and sign someone.. i do not know,, i really do not
