So glad we are discussing the chiefs VS saints in the niners thread. Makes sense.

Ahh...now it all makes perfect sense!
This is me during the 49ers preseason games so far...

Barely worth watching.

Agree...vanilla on offense and somewhat difficult to watch. Pass rush was fun to watch though...hope those young guys can actually do this for real!

Our preseason games always blow. Harbaugh and Roman keep s**t tight to the vest.

Same. I pay more attention to the webzone than I do the actual game.
Where can we re-watch the game? Or does anyone have a nice highlight video?

I have a preseason playlist on youtube. It's unlisted and just for you guys here. The games and the highlights, too.

Maybe I'm just weird but I love preseason games. Ita your first look at the draft and FA. Plus position battles are interesting

How do you root for an opposing player against your team? I'm simply dumbfounded by this type of stuff.

Me too ...

lol in his defense that safety in the right corner wouldve probably decapitated that receiver if he caught it

Hard to tell. I don't think Alex would've had the arm strength to get the ball to the receiver fast enough before the Safety knocked his head off.

At the time the receiver came open, there was a defensive lineman (91?) on a direct line between Smith and the receiver. Any attempt to throw the ball to that spot would likely have been batted down the the DL. Once the ball is batted in the air, any option is a bad one, the most obvious being an INT.

You cannot just watch the receiver and say, "he should have thrown it." The QB has to have an open receiver AND a passing lane. Without both there is no reason the attempt the throw. Just throw it away and come back with another play.

Really needs to be seen from a side view
