Well, that's something we can thank Dahl for, because I doubt that they're going to let that happen again.

Someone convince me why I shouldn't be worried about Tolzein going to the Packers
Remember how Tolzein looked with no time to throw? Well, that is basically Green Bay's O-line. A playbook can't block Aldon Smith.

The Packers will "figure out" the read-option and shut it down. After they go ahead and do that, Kap will be like "oh no...I can't run! They're takin away like...8.7 % of my game!! Kap...very distraught that he can't run for 11 bazillion-trillion yards on this All-NFL Defense again, then proceeds to throw for 300+ and 3 tds, while only running for a measley 35 yards, because the Packers, ya know, "figured out" the read-option. Packers are feeling real good "stopping" the read option but then begin to realize as the game is coming to an end..."Wait...wtf...why is there only 3 mins to go and we're down 34-17?? We like TOTALLY STOPPED the Read-option...this just doesn't make any...OOOHHHH YEAHHHH...this fool can PASS too...DAMN It!" He's not supposed to be able to DO ALL THAT!
Rodgers then proceeds to throw a garbage touchdown so that Packers can only lose by 10 and feel like they're getting closer to "figuring" us out, because ya know...they "stopped the read-option" so well.
Packers 24
49ers 34 F
I live in Green Bay...only minutes from the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field...surrounded by cheesheads. As a diehard Niner fan I find this game particularly interesting. First, I have some concerns about this game.Good points and nice observation... but I guess you didn't know about the conversation (above) that went on between Tolzien and his "dad"
1. Aaron Rogers (and McCarthy and gang) is special. When clicking on all cylinders the Packers might have the best offense in the NFL. They have seen our defense, and basic defensive schemes, twice in the past 12 months. It is possible that they will devise a game plan that will expose some weakness in our scheme.
2. Eric Reid is still untested.
3. Lacy adds an important element to their offense. He has looked very good this preseason and he can give the Packers the balanced attack they have been lacking the past couple of times they have faced us.
Despite the above reservations, I think the Niners dominate and my prediction is 49ers 26 - Packers 16.
Now, finally, Tolzien MUST be of some value to the Packers. If it was worthless to sign Tolzien the Packers would have never bothered. He will likely be able to help them in some level with scouting the 49ers. I suppose the impact might not be too great since the 49ers game plan is always very flexible and game specific. But there must be SOME impact and advantage for the Packers to sign him.

On a real note, I see Niners winning by more than 2 TDs... Niners front seven will be better than anytime last year. The secondary will be one of our strengths (believe it or not). They have?? at WR and o-line. Their defense has not improved from last year (IMO). Our offense is going to shock many people....

Our offense will shock a lot of people. I don't think people realize how good Kaepernick is. He is very, very special. He reminds me of Brett Favre (arm) and Randall Cunningham (build and running style) combined into one single player. He also makes good decisions. We are very lucky to have him and he will help make our offense a top-5 offense.

Now you my man have nailed the perfect comparison with 2 players for Kap. Oddly enough he admitted growing up idolizing those players and here he is the spitting image of them. I too think that the Packers are going to be better on defense this season but we will be better on offense and defense and special teams (I hope). I think we win and I think we build and grow as a team throughout the regular season heading into the playoffs. This year I believe it is us that will be our hottest come playoff time so long as we keep Kap upright

A little off-topic, my season prediction is that the 49ers go 11-5, first place in the division, and are Superbowl champions. (BTW, second place in the West goes to the overhyped Seahawks who get off to a slow start (1-3), finish 9-7, and miss the wildcard).
