Very difficult to beat a great team three times in a row. Arron Rodgers is a super bowl winning quarterback and McCarthy is a fantastic coach. They will have a plan for Colin. I will be very impressed if you pull out the victory even if it is at home...

Simply stupid reasoning ... the other 51 players on the team say hello by the way. Sounds more like wishful thinking to me.

Exactly they can gameplan for Colin, then get hurt by davis, boldin, gore, hunter, williams, patton, vance and the defense. I can already see Rodgers on the sidelines shaking his head wondering why the hell they gameplanned for the qb and forgot about the rest of the team.
Best plan is to make them one dimensional and force Rodgers to take chances. The Packers don't have a great running game, but they still try to establish it every game. Heck, in the playoff game they had some success on the ground but our secondary played very well. Aldon Smith and the crew will have to be relentless, but I'm a bit afraid of the screen game. Can Rogers contain Cobb in the slot? On the outside we will get tested with Jones and Nelson. Nnamdi will likely get tested a few times deep but hopefully he brings his A game. If our front 7 can stop the run like they usually do without having to bring in a extra guy, it will make Reid's job just that much easier. In the red zone it will be interesting to see if they try to attack Reid the way they attacked Whitner last year.

Offensively, we just have to establish the run game and can't turn the ball over. The Packers will be without Hayward, but they have a bunch of ball hawks even without him. Our WRs will likely have a tough time creating separation against their CBs, but Davis up the seam will be open. We HAVE to take advantage of any match up that involves VD with one of their LBs. The Packers will be ready for the read option but I'm sure we will have new variations that we haven't shown yet. Hopefully we jump on them early and make them play catch up ball. People don't realize just how poorly the Packers play when they are facing a early deficit. One of the worse teams when it comes to play that style. Obviously most teams will have tough times, but other teams with elite QBs usually find ways to get it done. For all of Rodgers greatness, this is one situation he struggles at.

Bowman and Willis on Finley will also be interesting. With the loss of Jennings and Nelson battling an injury, Finley will likely be featured more in their offense. If the two ILBs can hold their own and we won't have to switch the match up, it will benefit us greatly. It will be interesting to see Lemonier enter the game on passing downs. When we go to the nickle, I wouldn't be surprised if we take out McDonald on some plays and plug Aldon in the middle. This way you could have Lemioner rushing from the outside and it could work out great for us.

You just never know what to expect when matched up with a high powered offense, just hope we play very disciplined unlike the playoffs. I will go with a 27-17 win with our defense coming up with a big turnover late in the game.

Establish the run then set up the play action. If their back up slot CB (actual 3rd CB is injured) isn't up to the task, then target him in the passing game using Patton.

On defense, keep it a standard 4 man rush if possible since Rodgers is so good at finding weak spots in a blitzing defense, although, some Willis blitzes up the gut worked like a charm in the PO game.

Impose our will!
I hope Roman doesnt get too in love with himself and screw up the gameplan like he did against the Rams, if the Packers are going to focus so heavily on Kaepernick then a steady diet of quick runs, screens and slants with the occasional downfield bomb to back the safeties off will bury them.

Nnamdi Asomugha practicing in a blue, non-contact jersey; Patrick Willis has no protection on right hand. 1st injury report due later today.

Since there so focused on stopping Kaep on running on them that could affect Gore what about opening up in the air? Woodson is gone and there secondary isn't that great anyway.
Go that way REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, turn.
Various run formations then slants then sideline passes to Boldin & VD.

Then back to the run and more of the same and maintain long time consuming drives on offense.

On defense, stop their run and come in with blitz packages using Lemonier w/Aldon. Put a hurt on Rodgers

If the pass rush is as explosive as we've seen in preseason, then we shouldn't have much a problem. The packers will not be able to run so their going to pass all game, make them one demensional. But if Kaep and the offense can run effectively, that keeps GB off the field and gives our D lots and lots of rest.
It would be funny if they game plan against the pistol, but don't see it until the 4th quarter when they're all worn out! Make one mistake and Kap will blow right by you. I think our running game and Kap's arm is enough to blow that D apart! We are going to be hitting your QB! Just watch our D do it, Clay.
