SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS VS CAROLINA PANTHERS GAMEDAY THREAD (WEEK 10)

Shop Find 49ers gear online
We had so many lucky breaks in this game... with all the Cam overthrows, Panther WR drops... getting the 50/50 calls... very disappointing game.

Hard to say what exactly is wrong with our offense... but here are some random thoughts:
1. Our passing offense goes from pretty terrible to non-existent when we lose VD (please get better soon VD!)
2. Wish Alex had imparted more of his game managing decision-making skills to Kaep before he left...
3. Why don't we do more quick throws/slants, checkdowns? Is it coaching/game-plan or Kaep decision making?
4. I love Gore... if we don't get Gore a SB before he retires... it would be such a shame... truly the heart and soul of this team the past decade.
5. I am concerned about Eric Reid, while a terrific young player, this is his 2nd concussion in his first season...

Wild thought:
I saw some poster mentioning pulling a 2012 Ravens and firing the OC mid-season... honestly I would go with this... yes, Roman is an innovative run game coordinator, but Gore can operate under pretty much any system and be a beast. We need a passing game coordinator who can help get Kaep into a rhythm and design pass plays that highlight everyone's strengths. Also, it would serve to light a fire under everyone's ass on offense (looking at you, oline)

Conslusion:
My prediction is we still get a wild card spot but no way we can contend with a complete team as things stand now... we need to get better in a hurry and catch fire. Regardless, the Niners are my team, and I'll always root for them, go Niners!

Once you're in the playoffs it's a new season but for those of us waiting for some sort of breakout performance again, it does not appear forthcoming. Once that GB game went down, teams adjusted, as they always do. Kap has shown himself to be incapable of adjusting to these adjustments thus far. The last time we had so few passing yards was in like 2005 man. Guys no one can possibly say that our team today is worse than Barlow, Battle, Lloyd, etc.

For those chalking it up to one bad game, we are dead last in passing guys, this has been the worst in a string of horrendous passing games, masked by our great rushing performances. Players who have horrible games play better than what we just witnessed, the backups and 3rd stringers who played this week played better. So did that kid Keenum last week in his first ever start. We had a QB at home, coming off a bye. A QB who helped lead us to the SB last year and has NEVER looked worse. That is something we need to get figure out QUICK!
wrong thread. Will get warning

And what I said was (typing slow) your post is irrelevant because we are still 6-3. Which means that overall we must be doing something right. All you're doing is attempting to dress up empty complaints as some kind of valid argument. Any time you lose it means that you played poorly. That's why it's called "losing."

....But kudos for pointing out the obvious there, Aristotle.

Is between Seattle and Denver for the big dance I reckon as many have predicted.

You are probably right. But hopefully the 49ers keep in the fight cause an injury here or there to other teams could open the window.

Speaking of injuries I wouldn't be so sure about Denver it looks like Manning got his ankles racked again. Guy was limping at the end of the game so who knows?

Yep, it is definitely Seattle's year. Maybe we can come back strong next year with a revamped offensive unit.

I agree to certain points.. but what Zoners keep forgetting is that the regular season means sh*t. How many 6th seeds have won the SB recently? how many #1 seeds have won? As long as you get to the dance, nothing else matters.

I am not saying this just in the context of the regular season. I am saying categorically Seattle is a far better team than the 9ers based on the current roster doesn't matter whether is regular or postseason. They are just better than us, period.

Based on what I've seen from last Dec to now, there is no way we can beat them at the Stick in Dec or up at CLink in the playoffs. Is just that simple. Just can't see it.

Why is everyone so upset. Still got a strong chance of making the playoffs. We all shouldnt have expected a Superbowl this season being that we just lost it and that is a pattern in the NFL for a reason. We need our coaches to realize we are a running team, Kaep and Our oline benefit the most from it. No Kaep is not a pocket passer. He has a lot to learn still as evident by the audible to the long developing draw play in our own endzone and the go for it all interception at the end of the game. Harbaugh needs to smack Roman for giving he ball to Frank only four times in the second half in the running game. I hope the Defense tells our offense to f**k off because they gave a valiant effort.

PS if seattle makes the superbowl they will not win as their Fans cant all go to the game and do all their dumb ass yelling.

seems like our offense and coaching staff just gets super nervous when facing a top defense

they get anxious and forget wtf they know how to

Really ? Just happened today ? Didn't know that. But, NFC wise, is definitely going to be Seattle that's for sure.

and that allows me my opinion based on your categorical responses, but Ill refrain from that. If Seattle wins at SF Ill give you credit.. but until then your posts have a tone associated with those that are new to the zone, Im no way calling you a noob... but you come off similarly to one who is nooblike.

Last second picks are common for any QB needing big passing plays.

Unbelievable how after all these years 49er fans still dont know when to blaming horrible playcalling and OL play. Remember when Kap had time to throw today? I dont.

You're asking certain zoners to look beyond their last period... unfortunately some dont have much forsight

Oh, f**k off. I'm a huge Kaepernick supporter but he and the entire offensive unit looked like garbage tonight.

Yeah he did.. so maybe in a week you'll warm back up to him... weird...

Glad we're in agreement, bud.

Not even looking at stats yet but when Gore doesn't get 20 touches, we're pretty mediocre. Im guessing Gore didn't get that today. It seemed Roman went away from Gore carrying the team and put the game in Kaeps hands, which was definitely a disaster

He came limping off the field in the 3rd quarter, I didn't see him a lot after that.
