My two cents, I think it can play out like this---If they double cover VD- either Crabtree or Boldin will be open, if they double cover Crabtree- either VD or Boldin will be open, if they double cover Boldin- either VD or Crabtree will be open.

I dont think the Seahawks do much Double Covering

I'd like to see a 5 WR set too ...maybe some split backfield sets with James and Gore in the backfield ....we saw a screen pass last week, so hopefully some new wrinkles will surface on sunday

I'd be shocked to see this happening it's doubtful that we have many play formations with 4 WR sets let alone 5. But I agree, we need some new wrinkles to beat the Hawks. Playing plain jane is a sure recipe to get us beat.

do they need to? we can hate them and the head coach but are they that good back there , they do not have to double anyone?
So the "12th man" is paying to have a Seahawks banner flown over Candlestick Sunday.....

Do we need any more proof that these guys are obsessed with the 49ers? I swear playing us is like their Super Bowl.

that is because we are the two time defending conference champs and they want it for themselves. this year for whatever reasons , we were unable to defend it. it happens. you just hope to eek into the playoffs and then figure out how to play better and coach better vs good teams next year

Penis envy. HGH doesn't make everything bigger.

I don't recall ever hearing Seattle fans chanting anything about the 49ers on a week that the 2 teams aren't even playing, as the 49er fans did after they played the Rams.

Point being, I don't think Seattle fans are any more obsessed with the 49ers than the 49er fans are about Seattle. They're division rivals, and hate each other, as do their fans. I just think that to date perhaps some of the over zealous Seattle fans are a little more creative.
You know, I'd probably like Russell Wilson if it wasn't for Seahawk fans. Really I just want our defensive game plan to focus on his physical punishment in the pocket and on the perimeter.

Far as I know, flying a banner over the enemy's stadium doesn't make you champion of anything. You still have to go out and earn it.

Like last year, they (and some elements of the media) crowned them champs after they beat us.

And we all know how that went.

Unlike our fan base, at least the older portion, this championship contention thing is all extremely new to them, so the excitement is a bit more intense.

Very well said.

Please. Go visit Seahawks.net. There's a new Niner thread every week. After that, have a look at the comments on any sports site that mentions the 49ers and the Seahawk trolls are out in full force.

Last, have a look around this website. There's a gang of Seattle fans here, far more than the amount of Niner fans you'll find on any Seahawk forum.

You say "creative" and I say "pitiful and attention starved with far too much time on their hands."

Were Niners fans this douchey on the cusp of their first championship run? There wasn't an Internet back then so hard to say.
