Same for the Hawks.
Should be a great game and interesting to see who wants it more.

I was looking forward to attending this one but, unfortunately life got in the way :-(

mmm i agree the team can afford to lose this game but id say they have to go 3-1 to get the 6th seed. it could happen at 2-2 but alot more would have to happen
these steroid eating b***hes need to be stopped
ESPN has a pretty good site/program that will determine playoff teams based on remaining games. Niners actually can lose this game and the AZ game and the likelihood of making the playoffs is still fairly good. But losing to SEA and AZ would not be the way to enter post season. Kind of make us "dead on arrival".

If Seattle finally wins in SF, all doubts of them getting to the SB will be lifted. If SF wins, many in the media will have minds changed.

But since it is most probable we must play in Seattle to reach the big game, I am really struggling to find the faith.

My two cents, I think it can play out like this---If they double cover VD- either Crabtree or Boldin will be open, if they double cover Crabtree- either VD or Boldin will be open, if they double cover Boldin- either VD or Crabtree will be open.
I dont think the Seahawks do much Double Covering
do they need to? we can hate them and the head coach but are they that good back there , they do not have to double anyone?

The one team that hurt them was Indianapolis and they really didn't play a team that really has two good to great WRs. They were so focused on stopping Wayne that Hilton ripped them for 140s yards, it is a possibility. Plus, they will also have to account for Manningham, I would counter their defense with a scheme that features quick slants and getting the ball out quickly, so that pass protection is not an issue. Also, if they want to drop back people to cover the quick slants, (sound effect, lol) whamoo!!!, Gore can get them running up the middle, or we can throw the bomb to Davis. The best medicine for the 49ers, if I was Kaepernick and the rest of the 9ers, is not to get intimidated. From my perspective, I wouldn't look at them as playing a team with only one loss, I would stress if I were the 49ers of looking at myself, rather than the seahawks. I believe if the 49ers can correct their internal issues/misques/mistakes/penalties and playing with a style that they are not accustomed to, and really looking at their selves in terms of their capabilities and what they can bring to the table, they certainly can beat the seahawks. If I was the 49ers coach, this would be the game that I would be doing film study very intensively this week, with a bunch of over nighters, and many a pot of coffee. That's the one thing with Walsh that I missed, I remembered always seeing Walsh on the side lines televised, with his bloodshot eyes and the players just completely dominating their opponents, because Walsh had already won the battle before the battle was even fought. GO 49ERS!!!

Are you guys accounting for the pressure they will bring?

I don't think they double ANYONE. They bring the pressure and force our WR's and Kap to be making plays in under 2 seconds. This will benefit SEA in two areas, stopping GORE and forcing Kap and his targets to get open fast!

If SEA does this, I think Kap may struggle...unless he lets that ball rips and our WR's make tough catches with DB's on them.

Do we need any more proof that these guys are obsessed with the 49ers? I swear playing us is like their Super Bowl.

I am actually taking a different approach to this matter than most fans in here. Although I feel like its a stupid idea and very disrespectful for the Hawks fans to pull this, Im not really getting all that butt hurt about it. First of all, it's not my money thats been wasted on a banner that probably wouldn't get close to Candlestick because of FAA rules and regulations, but if it does, then the main thing I'm taking from it is, IMO, it'll be to our advantage, its like a blessing in disguise, because it will definitely motivate our players even more to play this game to defend our house from this very disrespectful act. Even though the team doesn't need anything else to motivate them more about this game than the past two beat downs they gave us the last two meetings, and both teams hates each other, but MAYBE it'll give them more fuel to push hard every play to make sure these guys(Seahawks) and their fans won't come into our house and disrespect us like this. As a former semi-pro, college, high school football player, your main goal for home games is to protect your house, you don't let anybody come in there and do whatever the hell they want to. That's the approach I'm taking for this banner thing. Then again it's just my take and opinion.

Want to see a lot of this on Sunday
Noticing from the past two games that we're starting to get our 'viciousness' back, that's the 'pop' we need to be able to take Seattle on. -They don't play like any other team, they play for cheap shots on every down (and that's why teams get overcome by them). They lay each shot on harder, and harder until you submit to the punishment.

We need to get dirty with them, we gotta be that dirt-bag team we were against the Rams last Sunday, and it starts with the offense. Our defense always brings it to Seattle, but our offense doesn't, they always play soft. -Don't wanna sound like a dick, but having Boone and Snyder on the line right now might be a blessing, cause those guys are the dirt bags we need to get physical with that Hawks d-line, and players like Boldin f**king with defenders, leading them into mistakes.

To beat a team like Seattle, you have to beat 'em at their own game.

Being a fan or flying a banner has nothing to do with what happens on the field especially earning championship banners? They're flying this banner sunday to rub it in and get under your skin, and it appears to be working.

To what end? The Niner players won't notice or care and I suspect the same of the Seahawks. So fans of one team are just out infuriate fans of another?

Maybe it is the difference in fandom. Seahawks fans believe they are part of the team and can impact the game. Niner fans don't confuse the difference in being a player and a fan. There is great hate for Kap and Harbaugh up in your neck of the woods, in SF not so much. In fact there are quite of self proclaimed Niner fans who don't even know your coaches name.

Does it matter if we don't know PC's name ?

They are disrespecting my house !
I think the flying banner thing is the Hawk fans showing everybody what a dreamy and wonderful collective they are. It has nothing, zero, zip, nada, to do with the game Sunday

I don't think this game will be 29-3, but the Seahawks have just as much to play for. They can win the division in OUR house this weekend. The niners must not let that happen! We need a win and they want to slap us around and Gatorade bath their coach at our place as a kick in the nuts. So much on the line. I swear I will go to church if the Hawks win and Carroll gets a shower.

The more I look into how both teams have played the last few games and given the injuries on the 9ers offensive line, I think that Kap is going to need to do two things really well for the 9ers to win - both of which are problematic. Getting the ball out quickly (with a completion) is not something Kap seems to do particularly well at this point, but I think that's what he will need to do on many of the passing plays this game. Scheme and good play calling can help him get the job done, though. The other thing I think he's going to need to do is run a lot - designed run plays, scrambling - whatever it takes. It's a risky thing to do, but if they want to win this game, Kap running more than he has is what I think the team will need from him to get the win. (Now if the substitute offensive line does a miracle and can hold the pass rush, then Kap running won't be necessary - I just don't think they'll be able to consistently stop the Hawks pass rush.)

agreed, the defense is hitting harder and with boldin and crabs together and VD jumping over people it looks like were getting some much needed swagger back.
