Says J. Smith is most likely out Sunday. Obviously an incorrect article.

I'd like to see Vernon Davis blind side Richard Sherman or Kam Chancellor like this. Seattle fans always brag about that hit Chancellor had on Vernon, while Vernon was jumping up for a ball and couldn't protect himself. I'd like to see him do that when Vernon has a full head of steam.

Maybe it is the difference in fandom. Seahawks fans believe they are part of the team and can impact the game. Niner fans don't confuse the difference in being a player and a fan. There is great hate for Kap and Harbaugh up in your neck of the woods, in SF not so much. In fact there are quite of self proclaimed Niner fans who don't even know your coaches name.
Safe to say we can agree to disagree on this one. And yes looks like a few of our fans are out to infuriate a lot of your fans. what other motive would they have other than to show their 12th man pride which i'm sure in some way they feel they are doing. not the approach i'd take.

That's a rarity. Vernon doesn't light people up. It will be a higher probably that Vernon hits him with his chest and hugs him to seal the block.
I think I may agree with you if you had said he may jump over him...to block.

There is just as much hate for Carroll from San Fran fans. Im with Hawker84 on this one. I don't hate either although I thought yesterdays media session with Seattle media both of your guys looked like douches to be honest. I hate to say that but there were a ton of one word answers and rude responses from both guys. Carroll and Wilson were the exact opposite and are always gracious to the media. But I would be lying if I said I didn't like it. Its part of what makes our rivalry so great. Two different approaches. Sunday will be fun and I think both teams come to play.
Again Chancellor didn't cheapshot him. He did what every player is tought to do when a guy catches the ball. It was a great hit. If one of your guys hit our guy like that you would be saying the same thing. I havent seen a mean or nasty streak out of Davis. Does he run people over or play real physical? I thought the knock on him was that he doesn't. Again hes great, not saying that. Gore on the other hand plays very physical. Love watching him run.

I actually think the seahawks win this one, here's 5 reasons why
1. Russell Wilson, he is the best player on the field, enough said on that. He has two years under his belt and he will do everything possible to win
2. Offensive line, they average a weight a 320 across the line: Okung, Riva, Unger, Breno, Ossai. These guys have an attitude and are ready to rumble.
3. Dan Quinn, new defensive scheme and a new attitude. Many players have spoken about the difference of Bradley and Quinn, you will see a much improved seahawks defense on sunday.
4. Speed, speed, speed. This is the fastest seahawks team in a while. Miller, Tate, Boldin, Harvin, Kearse. The newbies will be inexperienced but will provide a new dimension the seahawks haven't had, speed.
5. Time of possession: I think the seahawks could dominate the TIP stat in this one, the more the seahawks hold the ball and keep their defense fresh the better change they have to win.
I think the seahawks win rather easily...say 34-17?

I don't think they double ANYONE. They bring the pressure and force our WR's and Kap to be making plays in under 2 seconds. This will benefit SEA in two areas, stopping GORE and forcing Kap and his targets to get open fast!
If SEA does this, I think Kap may struggle...unless he lets that ball rips and our WR's make tough catches with DB's on them.
This is what Boldin and Crabtree do best!

Did you watch the first 3 quarters of the first matchup? SF Defense made Wilson look terrible.
What we need to do is outmatch their best weapon: Lynch.
They have a fast defense but we have a strong offense. The main advantage they have on us is their coverage and Marshan Lynch.

As much as we do? it's more like we hate their fans but i hate their players too, mostly Dick Sherman, Cheat Carroll and their cross-eyed running back
I mean, you're NOT a true 49er fan if you like any Seahawk player, coach or fans...
Do our players want to beat that team more than any other team and hate them as much as us "true fans" hate them?
Let's kill some Sea-chickens this weekend!!!

When you accumulate 5 Lombardis I might get agitated a bit more than I would with streaming banners and mindless banter and whatnot

They have had nothing but compliments for the Hawks, but being terse with the press makes the look like douches? Meh.

Matt Barrows @mattbarrows 7s Somewhat surprising news: Joe Staley back at practice today and looked rather spry.
