"He's trying to transition from an offense that relies on him running the ball to one that tries to keeps him in the pocket," Montana said of the differences between Kaepernick's collegiate system to the one he's running with the 49ers.
"He's definitely talented enough to do it and has the ability, it's just getting used to doing it," Montana added.
Kaepernick has made strides from inside and outside the pocket in recent weeks. He's completed 34 of 52 passes for 510 yards with four touchdown passes and no interceptions.
I'll stick by my qb... Go NINERS!!!!

I seriously find all this Seattle "hate" talk silly. I don't hate the Seacocks. Why should I? For two regular season losses, even blowouts? We played like crap, and I'm meant to hate them? Then I should hate all those teams who blew us out during the bad years. I still remember Chicago, San Diego and KC taking turns humiliating us in 06, and I just picked a year in random. I don't find the team particularly obnoxious actually: they're young and brash, but so are our guys. Even the fans don't bother me that much, at least when I travel there in person. In the Internet, it's true, everyone behaves like an arsehole; but so do our fans
Anyway, let us first meet in a really meaningful game, like a playoff game or a regular season game that eliminates either one of us and then talk "hatred". They're not really an NFC West team anyway for me, not yet. I hate the Falcons and the Aints more than Seattle, although it's dying down with time.
My hatred is reserved for those teams who have really cost us titles, often through crappy officiating or dirty hits on our players: Washington (officials), NY (dirty), GB (just obnoxious), Baltimore (officials), and most of all Dallas. I mean, seriously. Even the most annoying Seattle fans can never be as insufferable as Dallas fans and even they are not as not as infuriatingly annoying as Boston fans, but they are in a different conference and don't matter). And despite all the (justified) media hype about Seattle this year, it's nothing compared to the endless Cowboys-Boston-Washington-Giants-Jets yammering.

I could post a 'print-screen' of Anthony Davis' tweet after that 2011 Christmas Eve game... but I'd probably get a warning.

ill take Kap. wilson is good too but kap is bigger and will be effective even if he slows down. all wilson has is his legs, keep him in the pocket and hes gonna be hitting linemen in the back of the head.wilson is a great passer but he has to be on the run out from behind the pocket to throw most of the time

It's the perfect storm, last two meetings have been in their house, they're coming to us, riding off of a short week with #1 power ranking spots, and the media all over their nuts. -I've also noticed a trend that teams which are usually ranked #1 on ESPN struggle when pit up against a .500 team the following week.
Also, not really impressed with their work on the road, sure they're finally winning on the road, but they have yet to defeat a .500 team on the road (looks like we both have something in common), and the only team at .500 they've faced on the road thus far was the Colts (which ended in a loss).
This is gonna be a level game, Hawks fans wanna be cocky, but they know damn well this game will be decided by a FG. It'll take 20 points to win this game, I guarantee it.

Curious how many of your 49er cohorts would feel the same way at this point?

Amen.
Enjoy your flavor of the month midget pos and have fun trying to convince yourselves you believed in Kap all along when tables turn and he's the hot name again.

Ya, Seattle isn't significant enough to hate, plus they cheat so who gives a f**k what they do. And even if there was hatred, they ask for it with all the obnoxious talking and post-whistle antics from them. We really only have 1 talker on defense (Whitner) and on offense maybe Boone and sometimes Anthony Davis will mix it up in his silent assassin type way. Boldin'll talk but only if initiated/instigated by opposition first. We have a ton of guys that are very civil after the whistle, help opponents up, etc. Guys like Goodwin, Iupati, Gore, Willis, Justin, RayMac, Reid, etc. Whereas it seems like over half their D actively seeks to provoke confrontation after every damn play, like it's actually their gameplan and a strong point of emphasis to get under people's skin as a cheap way to try and draw penalties/ejections. So bushleague.
