Is there a timeline where I player can no longer play because he hasn't been cleared? For exampe, can they clear him to play 10 min's before kick-off?

As long as hes cleared he can play, Its up to the Seahawks coaches to decide at that point if they want him to play after not having any practice all week

I don't think practice is a concern for the Hawks if he's cleared, I doubt it. He's a much bigger threat than any of their WR's. His speed can be an issue against the Niner D. I almost think Seattle is not announcing it until the last minute to keep the Niners thinking.

Its not up to Seattle to clear him though. Its an independent DR assigned by the NFL that has to give him the ok

LOL You figure they'd stop setting themselves up like that.

Not at all, most hawk fans have only known they exist for a couple of years.

I've been a Hawks fan since the inception of the team. Sure, we don't have any trophies, but that doesn't make the team irrelevant, just as the drought years where the 49ers didn't win squat didn't make them irrelevant.

I'm glad you don't think your team is irrelevant but this game is about winning, and the quality and tradition of a team is measured by the Championships won. You can talk all you want about our last Championship being almost 20 years ago, however, our team is not independent from the tradition it was born from.

Your team could never become irrelevant...it was never relevant in the first place. A team that has never gained at least one trophy, I can only look to the city of Seattle as being a haven for losers.

Yes it does. Are the Cleveland Browns relevant?

I hope he doesn't. One less guy for us to worry about.

Exactly. Even Carroll can't cheat his way out of this one.

This. But if he is cleared, it'll have to be an hour and half before kickoff. This is when teams must turn in their rosters and declare which 46 players are going to be active in the game.

So you say, though it's funny how every seattroll that shows up here says the same. If you are as old enough to have started watching the hawks in 76, why the hell are you here trolling like one of those 20 year old punks that have infiltrated almost every fanbase as a 40+ year old man? You grew up in an era when sportsmanship was still appreciated, act like it.
As I rewatched both games from the regular season I noticed a couple things that do scare me...we did not do a very good job guessing on the read option. Brooks was wrong more times than not in both games and had Wilson held it, he could've taken off for huge runs. I hope they don't exploit us there this time. We also had baddddddd coverages on their TEs, mainly Hitner. This is nothing new as we typically suck against TEs, but it made me think that if I'm Poodle, my gameplan would be to give it to Lynch 25-30 times, use Wilson in the read option to limit his pocket passing since he's been worse of late, PA to their TEs down the seams, and let the D do their thing.

Now, I believe our D is playing better than even Week 14, but they'll need to be almost flawless if our O can't move the ball this time. Also, I noticed that we gave Golden Taint HUGE yards and set them up very nicely in field position. Limit these things and we have a shot. Still feeling we win, but just had some of these observations. I don't like us in the nickel against this team much either. I feel we need to stack the box a little more and make Wilson really stay in the pocket and find his WRs more than handing it to Lynch.

Actually, I think teams do go through periods of irrelevance. IMO, the Niners were irrelevant for about 8 or 9 years after they got rid of Garcia and went though that period of not making the playoffs. Teams are relevant when they are contenders, so the Seahawks are absolutely relevant and they've been relevant for a couple years now. The Bills for example, never won a championship, but they went to four SB's in a row - to my mind, they were relevant. By that measure, the Niners are a very successful long-time franchise. They've been relevant for about three years now, they were relevant for about an 18-year span (unprecedented in the NFL by the way), they were relevant in the late 60's and early 70's. They were also semi-relevant at times in the 50's and early 60's.

Was the Seattle game in December the first game for Crabs? You almost have to think he didn't play hard that game because he had just came back and I do recall he had a couple key catches. This time, he should be able to do his thing without having to think of the injury.
oops

I think Patton could be the x-factor for the niners in this game. The Seattle D know Kaep will try to get the ball to Boldin/Crabs/Davis. I actually like how Patton has progressed and he made some great catches in the playoffs.

Patton and LaMichael James have to be the X-Factors for us IMO
