Niners helped drive up the price for SEA. A clusterf$ck deal ensued. Then we got Boldin for a pittance!Originally posted by Stanley:Originally posted by boykster:Yep - definitely a bad move by a front office that has actually done pretty well getting talent from later draft rounds and generally doing well on the FA market. And if there's any truth to the rumor that Boldin was picked up by the 49ers in response to the Hawks signing Harvin, then that adds insult to injury.
The 49ers tried to get Percy, but Seattle offered more, then the 9ers "settled" for Boldin.

I wouldn't say that they suck, but I like our starting CBs on Tate and Baldwin. All day.

Looks like things may have gotten a little easier for us. At least Carlos anyway.
Guess the Saints gave us back a little somethin somethin.
Exactly what I was going to say about Carlos

"He'll be back practicing next week. He'll be ready to go, and get back on the field, and we'll be thrilled to have him back." - Is Petey guaranteeing a victory?

A genius move in retrospect for sure....

High Risk High Reward. No one knew about the hip thing (except maybe Percy). Seattle got the s**t end of the stick from that deal, but who knows maybe he somehow plays 3/4s of next season and this becomes a distant memory. I think the concussion thing was just s**t luck, anyone who gets hit that hard (i.e. Vernon Davis by Kam was a similar hit last season) is going to leave the game with a concussion.
how many of them re-enter the game and get another one? to me this is not about concussions or his hip or even his migraines in the past. he had a reputation in minny, the fact they were willing to deal him is telling. as fans of a different team, you always wipe the slate clean for a newcomer, but nearly a year later everything that was said about him in minny has carried over to seattle, thats the concern for you guys.

@mattbarrows: Pete Carroll says Percy Harvin will be "back practicing next week." #presumtuous

Stupid Pete Carroll. I hate the Cheaphawks more each day.

Even without Harvin, pass rush is going to be key. Miller, Baldwin, and Tate have given us fits off the big play. They may not catch a lot of balls, but they somehow have gotten huge plays on 3rd down to convert.
