Do you think this Jerry Rice jeresy is legit?

Hey. I've had my eyes on this Jerry Rice jersey. I think it's from the 1993 season. There is the Wilson logo on the left sleeve that was common at the time. There is a Wilson Team NFL logo near the bottom too on the front of the jersey.









Seems legit. Just wondering there are any red flags I'm not seeing. It's screen printed, which if I remember correctly some of the authentic jerseys that were sold at the time were screen printed along with the sewn type. The "RICE" lettering put me off for a second. Seems a little too thick from what I remember looking around, but I think it might just be the angle of the camera. The lettering seems to have the correct serifs. If anyone knows anything about jersey buying let me know. Even if it's authentic I might not get it, but more insight for the future would be good regardless. Thanks.

It's a legit WILSON jersey no doubt, but it's missing the NFL logo on the V-part of the collar.. making it a non NFL official jersey..

Oh that's right. And I just googled some Rice photos from that year in 1993, which I think may have been the only year that the 49ers wore those Wilson jerseys with the white W on the sleeve. Maybe 1992 as well. Anyways, the NFL shield logo is on the V neck of the collar.

Hmmm...not sure which direction to go in. On one hand I'd have an official Wilson jersey that was distributed at one point in time, but on the other hand it isn't necessarily a replica of what is seen on the field. Perhaps I'll just look for a Mitchell and Ness 1990 Rice jersey instead. Thanks.

its not an on official on the field jersey, but just below that, like the limited shirt style jersey they have now.

I have an authentic Wilson 94 Jersey and that one is not even close to it.

Google the Jerseys and take a look

Ex: The Wilson Tag on the bottom should be a bigger tag with a smaller tag on the right side with a # for the size of the Jersey



Ex 2 would be all Numbers and Letters would be patches stitched to the Jersey, only the stripes on the sleeve were screen printed

Its a replica jersey. All of the replica jerseys from that era lacked the nfl shield at the v on the collar.

how much is it ?, wouldnt be bad buy if its under 80$

That looks like a replica from the time period. I have a 1995 on field (not game used) steve young Wilson jersey and there is a much larger tag by the size that says something to the effect of "specifically tailored" for pro football use.

Also for what's it worth, the shield was on the neck of all jerseys starting in either 1991 or 1992.

Legit replica. Looks clean.

i have the away version of that. i'll check when I get home. I know mine is legit.
