And if wasn't for Craig we may only have two.

The vindictiveness of 49er fans is truly endless.
Different eras also.

My statement could very well be true - who knows how the 1984, 1988 and 1989 teams do without Craig. I just see it as bad form to whittle down Craig's 49ers career to one really bad moment when there were hundreds of really good moments, which happens far too often IMO.

Exactly. He needs to "shut your mouth when you're talking to me!!!"

Craig definitely belongs in the HOF and that's a fact
Roger Craig is an all time great that changed the running back position! He was the first running back that was an actual threat catching the ball out of the backfield. He was the first 1000/1000 guy and it's only been done 2-3 times!

We don't win those super-bowls without him.

Not many RB's In history are on Roger Craig's level.
Actually it was Bill Walsh that made Roger Craig into the back he became. Roger was a blocking bck for most of his career at Nebraska. Walsh say some potential and found out he could catch passes. That worked perfectly in hs system. Throw in one of the best O lines and the best O line coach and you have a recipe for success. Roger had a great career but from a pure talent aspect there were several back better than him. His best aspect was superb conditioning that allowed him to run hard for 4 quarters.

I'm not surprised. I believe he used to work out with Rice on that hill. It's amazing when you meet an old player. Many (mostly linemen) blow up when the y sy top working out but some like Randy Cross and Joe Staley get smaller. It makes you realize how artificial these guys are. Some bulk up with PEDs and massive workouts then shrink back to normal or get fat when they stop those workouts.

This pretty much applies to all men…
