I personally would like to keep JH- I like his passion and I think it rubs off on the players. However, if JH only wants GR then they both have to go.

I thought the playcalling was better after JH took over last night, but with 4 minutes left it was way too late.

And what about Kap? I don't think that he's the future of this team. i hope i'm wrong but look what was happening when we had the ball right at the end. We didn't use a timeout and wasted 30 seconds just standing around.

I agree. I believe Roman will be fired within today.

The offense is just too far gone and as such I think Harbaugh is beyond salvageable. I think he will be fired along with most offensive coaching staff once the season ends cos they can't fire everybody all at once still with 4 games to go.

As for Kap, I believe next season will be his last, but in the meantime we will draft a legit pocket passer next May to compete with Kap in camp. If he beats out Kap, the rookie might start and Kap will be either cut or traded.

Exciting stuff.

I think, and hope, that you're spot on. We definitely need someone to compete with Kap during training camp, and I would be very very very surprised if we didn't draft a QB high.

I do like JH, but I guess he does have to take responsibility for it all etc.

If JH does go, then all ties with Kap go too, and therfore, especially with his team friendly contract, its a lot easier to move him on when we need to .

How about we find a OC that actually schemes to his players strengths??? instead of trying to turn Kap in a statue pocket passer, why not run more read option, roll outs, play action, you know something that get's him moving around? Look at Wilson he isn't a pocket passer, but they run plays that benefit to his actual strengths.

I love Chip Kelly's offense! Every QB that's played in his system has played well...I'm down for grabbing a coach that has some offensive chops like his. How about Bill Lazor in Miami?? Ryan Tannehill is playing well and I don't think he is any better than Kap.

Why is Mark Helfrich going to take a paycut to be an offensive coordinator in the NFL?
This has probably already been said in here, but I think Harbaugh, Roman, and Kap will fall like dominos. Not sure when it will happen or who will go first, but as soon as one goes, I think the rest will be on borrowed time. They are currently holding together due to their solidarity and closed ranks. As soon as one guy goes down, we'll need to see drastic and immediate improvement to save the others.

Roman goes first, Harbaugh follows (unknown how much time between. If Roman goes and things improve, Harbaugh stays for a little longer). Kap stays. Ownership will want to see what a different OC / Coach can do with his talents. If that turns out to be nothing, he goes. I'd be shocked though.
If he has aspirations to be an NFL head coach one day, and is ready to leave Oregon for the right opportunity to get there he would. Says he makes 1.8 mil a year. Yeah, if he was thought of that highly I can see him being offered 2.0 mil a year. Comparatively I don't know what GR makes, only that he got a 2-year extension last year...and that Harbaugh had lobbied for him to get a raise. How much of one I'm not sure, but I'll bet is was more than 1.8 million - especially if Harbaugh makes 5 mil...feel free to enlighten me though if you have #'s
Why don't the Niners go after the Seahawks OC. If you can't beat them join them. The Seahawks offense is a simple read option scramble drill as reported by one poster on this forum. Imagine what he could do with Kap. How many times does Russell Wilson pass from the pockets. Look at his games yesterday against the Niners, the passes were mostly to backs and tight ends within a wide open window. Contrast this with the wide receiver centric offense of the Niners. Vernon Davis is not even involved in the offense any more it is more like our 10 against their 11. If Russell Wilson had to stand in the pocket and drive the ball down the field could not do it. In the losses this year when he had to he failed except for the game against Denver when he beat Denver with his feet. The Niners offense is looking for style points that say we must have a pocket passer when we should be looking for an effective QB that gets the job done like the Seahawks.

The key to note here is Jed York's Tweet. That was a very strong statement. Don't forget he has devoted all his energy in the past couple of years, not to mention $1 billion to make this new stadium a reality. He was probably thinking fantastic now that this state-of-the-art marvel is finally finished and we have a great football team to go with it, it will take the organization to the next level. I mean think about it, how bad could it be ? This team has been to at least the NFCCG 3 years in a row. Well, unfortunately and unexpectedly our offense has been totally inept all season long whereby instead of celebrating this huge milestone with great wins, he finds himself in a peculiar situation having to deal with boos from the fans after unacceptable and embarrassing performances by the offense.

How do you think he feels ?

Good point- someone has to go. And i think it will be Roman maybe today or tomorrow like you said. The Ravens changed their OC and look how that turned out. I think it might be a good idea to fire Roman and see if anything improves but, really, with 4 games to go its pretty pointless. I think there will be clear out and a fresh start in January, and the future of Kap depends on who comes in. We will most likely have a top-20 draft pick, so if the new regime wanted to pick a QB high they would definitely have the resources to do so.

That is exactly what I have repeatedly posted. Absolutely, if Kap is still around. Like you mentioned about Russell Wilson, Pete Carroll is smart, he also saw Wilson was struggling with the whole pocket passer exercise at the start of the season, so he canned the plan, changed tact and turned Wilson back into a dual-threat QB and let him make plays with his legs which is working much better for their offense. My premise has always been why draft a dual-threat QB when deep down you want to turn him into a pocket passer ? It totally goes against the instincts and the alternative skills set Kap has developed overtime being a mobile QB. Wouldn't it be easier to build on his strengths instead of coaching on his weakness ? Seriously, if we wanted a pocket passer in the first place, we should have just drafted one.

But, whether we go with read-option, play fakes, designed QB runs, scrambles and improvisational passing or we go the pocket passer route, I still think we will draft a QB high in May no matter what. And once we see the type of QB we draft (namely not dual-threat), we will know the direction we want to go with our QB and passing game.

Frankly, if they fire Roman today or Monday is more only for show more than anything else just to cool down the fans a bit that's all. As far as I am concerned, this season is already over, firing Roman probably won't change much as far as on-field performance goes. I just can't see us beating the Seahawks at C-Link. The major changes will come right after the end of the season. Yes, a top 20 or early 20s pick should be able to get us a decent QB. Exciting times ahead indeed, let's see what happens.

Yeah, how about no. Personally I hope Harbaugh stays, he's an effective head coach, no doubt, just need a change in the offense.

BUT will he change??

IMO, I really don't think so.
