I am down with that, I like Gruden. But, don't forget to draft a legit pocket passer QB.

just please do not promote any coach from within, we did that once. you get rid of a big name and i really believe you bring in a big name

There is no way he leaves that cush job he has now. No way.

if he did,, i think it would be for us. maybe its just me but when he calls the niners games i can almost sense he would just love to get his hands on our offense as he sees how roman has f**ked it two ways to sunday

i am not sure what you are reading, i have just heard that is what some people want,, just like i would want a big name like gruden

At this point, I wouldn't be mad if Brian Billick was hired.

Sure he had a great defense and legit run game, but he also had Trent Dilfer as QB, no name offense and they still won a SB!!

He'd (at least) have the same thing here... we have a top notch defense, great DC and (SOME, NOT ALL) better pieces on offense.
Yea we are gonna fire a coach with his winning record for?
Harbaugh is an asset you simply don't get rid of him.

I wouldn't want a retread coach, even a championship caliber coach. From what I recall, literally ZERO have won a chamiponship with a 2nd team. Part of it is because the game evolves so quickly that you can't afford to sit out any length of time.

That being said, there can always be exceptions. Gruden might be one, his love for film is notorious and it's not a secret that he spends alot of his time studying all the innovations in college.

As for the Tomsula rumors, until I read it from either of the Matts, I would take it with a grain of salt. I definitely have seen it out there, from anonymous 'inside sources within the organization' of course. I can't recall if the Matts ever reported it though.

ya guys on their second go around don't generally do as well I know there are a few exceptions, Dick Vermeil is one, Holmgren almost won a second Superbowl with Seattle, but mostly it's just the rule of thumb I want a young coach that can come in someone that's with some fire that's really motivated I don't want to see another retread either

I want the 49ers to get the next great young coach, not bring in the guy who fit that description 15 years ago. Someone that is on the cutting edge of offense.

I haven't really wanted Kap or Harbaugh to leave at all this season.
I figured the redskins game was shaky because we'd be focusing on Seattle in the short week rather than the horrible redskins.

Boy was I wrong, I think that was one of the worst games I've ever see Kap play.
He looked lost, looked like he didn't know any routes the WR were going to run
Our play calling was the worst I've ever seen it.
What is with the slow developing draw runs we've been doing on 3rd and long?

You could see that our guys were simply out-coached.
There was one play I remember watching when we came out with a 4 WR set, and Seattle was lining up for a blitz.
With 1 call Earl Thomas killed the blitz and called for a cover 2 dime package with Malcolm Smith lining up on Stevie Johnson.

So in other words, we have a mismatch with a LB on one of our best route runners and what do we do?
Run a draw on 3&7
We already have had 4 defensive coaches and they don't work. Has to be an OC who becomes HC and then he can bring in an OC to help him. Also need to trade Qbs, and or draft one.

I want to see how Kaepernick does with a true quality playcaller, if he still struggles, then move on, but in the meantime they should draft a QB in the middle rounds to develop.
OK my question is this? What happened to all of you loving Kaepernick? I remember when Alex lost his job to this CLOWN against the Goats. I knew this was a bad idea! Kaepernick had nothing to do with getting us to the Super Bowl but had much to do with the loss. Why so down on a Coach that is (I may be wrong on his record??) 42-15-1 in 3 years? Roman is the problem. Coach Harbaugh has been just what we needed and now that things are going down hill you guys blame him! ALL OF YOU and I can go back and find threads about Kaepernick being the "Next Big Thing" by 90% of you. Blame the organization not he Head Coach and yes you can blame Kaepernick because he is a joke! Look at Alex Smith he was a winning QB and you all ran him off!!! Hypocrites each and every one of you!
