Agree heads need to roll...but the stark reality for me is this team could realistically go 7-9. We're not beating Seattle on the road, the Chargers are playing much better than we are and 'Zona will be a very tough opponent. That's what we could be facing...IMHO this year's Niners don't deserve to be considered a playoff team, simply because they're just not playing like one. Our offense STUNK once again, and our supposedly vaunted defense couldn't even get close to Carr, who thoroughly outplayed Kaepernick. Carr's a confident rookie...Kap is a confused, (now) veteran. Again, heads need to roll...if that includes Harbaugh, so be it. Definitely Roman needs to get fired after the season and possibly a number of the other 12 offensive coaches, as well. If Harbaugh goes, I'd love to see Tomsula get the job. I think he's a coach the players could definitely rally around. Not sure about OC, but we've got to do better. There has to be a coach out there who can get a lot more out of Kap. We have to get some speed at the WR position...Vernon needs to get his head out of his butt and start ballin' again. His lack of productivity is partly on Kap, but more so on himself. His holdout hurt him and the team. So much for promoting "his brand". Baalke needs to draft at least one playmaking TE and some speed at WR. The OL may require an extensive makeover...they haven't been very good the entire season. Even the proud DL might need some overhaul...in short, there's a LOT of work to do. The entire NFC West has bypassed our team, folks. That's the sad reality of it all. There's a lot more that needs fixing, but I'm so frustrated with this team from top to bottom I'll stop here. Yikes.

With Harbaugh and Roman gone, Crabtree and VD could be gone too plus Frank will be 32 and he is clearly almost done. We are probably going to have a totally new look offense next year with new coaches, new receivers, Hyde at RBI and 2 or 3 changes on the O line. Everything will be different but it will probably take a couple of years to build the offense back into a top unit.
My question is this, given his awesome performance this year and the way players respond to him, should we promote Vic Fangio to HC?

We will see what management does after this game! Very disappointed right now!

For anyone who went through the Erikson era and then saw "the suit" flame out and Sing get promoted, you have to hate what seems to be coming. All the recent bandwagon fans, who didn't suffer through that, can embrace Harbaugh leaving much easier because they just don't know what it's like to loose before you start. Prepare for some rocky days friends (or find a new bandwagon)...

Fire Roman on the spot, and if Harbaugh fights it, fire him too. If he's too stubborn to make ANY changes after this epic failure of a season, he's no longer fit to coach this team.

Looking that way, but he's not guaranteed any of it. Thank God the way it was structured gives us an easy out. I'll give Kap until the start the next season to win me back. But we need a Plan B. He's too risky a prospect to commit to 100%.

D. Carr. didnt slice and dice the defense..... he hit 2 guys..... rivera,, a slow ass tightend... and a freaking fullback!! niners couldnt guard 2 guys..... .. if Jed doesnt fire ROman... or Harbaugh... this team is going back the its dark time we had a few years ago... while the rest of the NFC WEST continues to get better in every aspec of the game.... next year niners will be in last place in our division

The Rams have been crushing teams we struggled against. First the Broncos, now the Raiders and Redskins. We're just getting out coached.

From injuries to distractions (Harbaugh rumors, Boone and VD holdouts) this season was an uphill battle. Since middle of 2011 I felt Roman was a good college OC, but had no business in the NFL...so I knew that would add to the grind. What concerns me is Kaepernick. He got paid, and doesn't seem to WANT to be great. QBing is an art, and with the reworked offseason, not enough time to perfect it. Get a QB coach I nstead of working on sprints...Kaep needs to hone his skills IN the pocket. Dude just doesn't seem hungry.
