Dude, seriously????

I guess the pro-bowl truly means nothing now. This is kinda like the year the Texans sent a couple guys from the line to the pro-bowl... and both were out of the league (sort of... drifting in and out may be a better term), within a year.

The Iupati selection really vexes me. That's total crap. That's an insult to the position.

You don't even watch football if you think Iuptati is not good. The stupid Centers make the mistakes and Iupati takes the blame. Iupati is a beast. All the other teams in this league would love to have him and we should keep him.

Funny, because.. this year... I'm not the only one that feels Iupati has absolutely NO business being mentioned as a top guard. I would have to argue he would have a hard time being considered good.

But, if I only watched football sparingly... mostly last couple of years and not this one... maybe I'd have the same opinion you've expressed.

You don't watch it at all if you think Iupati is a bad Guard.

Some team is going to pay Iupati a LOT of money....

And I'm sooooo glad it's not going to be the 49ers
O-Line was worse than terrible this year. Absolutely confused at these picks.

I guess Jonathan Martin was just that bad?

Thank you, i was about to clear this up too! Making the pro bowl is often times a popularity contest. Just look at who made it this year for us, we all know
both Staley and Iupati are NOT deserving this year. ALL PRO, means you are the BEST at your position, which is what Bowman and Willis have been voted in recent years. That's the vote that counts. Pro Bowl is garbage, especially if u get in as an alternate, that just means the guys ahead of u were injured or didn't wanna risk injury and play. Hopefully Staley can rebound next year as i doubt Iupati will be here,we are already 4-5 mil over the cap and some team is gonna throw money at big Mike...We already have his replacement in house and have bigger needs at speed WR and TE and DL...
damnnn..

I really don't agree with Iupati and Staley at all... both were the biggest weaklink of the OL this year in my opinion..

Pro Bowl shoulda gone to Bethea and Cox.. no one else.
leave it to SanDiego49er to be all over franchising and extending iupati long term. he might have been the one 49er we all agreed on in terms of being overrated. but no we gotta have this guy come in and act pretty predictable. acting like guard is not a plug and play position like rb. he is nowhere near worth the 40-50 mil he will get as a free agent. that money can be spent elsewhere.
I'm not sure how either guy made it to be honest. Straight off name recognition i guess. Can't even run behind the left side of the line yet they pro bowlers?
Who cares? All-Pro is the only thing that matters

He rated as the 2nd best run blocking OL in the entire NFL this year.

lol, Iupati and Staley as the weakest links on this line? Not Jonathan Martin, who played most of the season (and horribly) at RT?

Not Marcus Martin, who replaced a solid Kilgore and put together maybe one 'good' performance? Not Boone, who sat out the entire offseason only to come through with at least one bonehead play every game?

Perhaps our two best OL ( Staley and Iupati ) struggled at times during 2014 because for the most part, they had 3 bums playing to their right…..?
Our long snapper got snubbed?!?!??

Yeah, its a good thing Jonathan Martin, Marcus Martin, and Alex Boone held down their side.
Give us something about Iupati's play?Worth resigning or not?
