It's a popularity contest. People picked Kam Chancellor because he plays for the Legion of Whom, and TJ Ward because he was a probowler last year and plays for a good team. Bethea quietly had the best safety of probably every DB in the league, and still got snubbed because he plays for the 49ers, which has been the NFL media's number one target this season, tied with the Browns.

This just confirms my opinion on the Pro Bowl itself...it's a sham. Neither Staley nor Iupati should be on that roster...why a couple of our defenders weren't chosen instead is a mystery. The defense has played at a high level all season...while the offense mostly struggled. I don't get it.

You forgot the biggest snub. CMC who leads all NFC players in yards this season I believe(not counting QB's). Deebo honestly doesn't deserve it this season.

I am not watching a flag football game. They should just cancel the game and make it a skills competition. I would rather watch that.

also we'd have at least 4 more Super Bowls by now

Greenlaw was the bigger snub. That guy is Jack Lambert in today's clothing.

I heard it said once ( I forget where) that players will earn pro bowl honors one year later than they deserve in the beginning their career, and one year longer than they should at the end of it. Maybe this is a case of that occurring.

Yeah, I honestly don't care if they play in the game, but I still like to see our guys get the honor of it.
