The next play after the Lynch sack.

4Q 2nd & 19

49ers: cover 4

Lindley completes his dropback and looks over the middle. Unlike cover2 where Dahl would have to provide help to Cully, in cover4, Dahl is only resposible for his 1/4. Cully plays with a large cushion to defend his 1/4th from any vertical route.

Lindley is mid windup and Dahl sees it all the way.

Intercepted.

There was this one interview from earlier this season where he stated that he wanted to go back to SF because this is where he started his career. I got a sense that it was for closure. Just my interpretation of that interview. Hopefully he doesn't want to come back because Patton leapfrogs him on the depth chart due to improvement.

Hopefully it's closure too. I want to see what Patton can do I want to see what wr we draft can do.
its time to move on from those things.
the thing im most looking forward to is hopefully finally using all of our players.
Vic was stubborn like Jim/Roman in that regard up to last year. If he would've let Cox continue to play instead of putting rogers back in we might have went back to the super bowl, that 4th down td pass was the difference in the game.
Now, because of injuries he used a lot of people on the front 7 but before any injuries he was using every db outside of safeties we had and it was working.
I want someone to finally use VD the right way. Finally get Macdonald involved finally let hunter gore and hyde loose finally utilize obvious skills that would make kap pretty much unstoppable behind center.

that's what im most hopeful for. It won't even really take much to "fix" the offense imo.

With SF leading 20-17, ARI would get the ball back at their own 20, with 2 minutes left.

1st & 10
Lynch with a punch of the left hand and rip with his right to notch his 6th sack of the year. Nice start to a career.

-9 yards

I might be nitpicking, but Im not too high on his tackling technique here. a more mobile/stronger qb and its potentially a missed sack

Was this the last big hook up for the KapTree connection? Maybe? Maybe not? Hopefully? Would have been nice if they hooked up on a fade route in the end zone just to show they can get it right.

Ahhh this makes me sad. These were the kinds of plays Crabtree was excelling at WITH Kaepernick at QB in 2012 and when he came back last year. He was good at these possession plays even with Smith at QB.

Good riddance of Harbaugh/Roman. Best coaches at figuring something out that works, then doing the complete opposite

The other thing that's a thing of beauty... watching Gore scan the line of scrimmage on this play to see where the blitzing CB is. He picks it up with ease.

This is another reason Gore is not easily replaceable.

49ers would punch it in using a play we saw a lot of last season, not so much this season because they simply didn't get inside the 5 yard line often to run this play and take advantage of their power running threat.

3Q 1st & goal
49ers will use playaction to get Miller open in the end zone. Last season, VD caught about 5 TDs just like this.

After playaction, Kap rolls right. Orange LB, for some reason, lets Miller cleanly go by him.

Pitch and catch.

Miller tippy toes both feet in for the Touchdown.

They try this play almost every time they are around the 5-yard line.
