LOL, and Jim Harbaugh said he had 5 #1 WR's at one point. Nothing wrong with giving some support to your former OC.

I think when it comes to their own team, these guys certainly will be a little more measured.

Ronnie Lott and Brent Jones have said they want Mike Shanahan as the next 49er coach

Apparently so did Young and Montana. Seems like Shanahan has a lot of backing and as long as he is hired ONLY as a head coach and doesn't have any GM powers, which he has shown he's f**king terrible with, I'm down.

I'm down with the those guys they love the guy Shanahan bandwagon
young said, shannie is the reason he became a very good passing qb,, that is all i need to know

Sounds promising. Any link ?

Steve Young also said Marc Trestman would be a great head coach for the Bears.

difference is that they played for Shanahan bruh

if RGKnee knew how to slide shanahan would still be the redskins coach

They played for Trestman too, I just think there's a difference between Trestman coaching for some random franchise and supporting someone to coach YOUR team.

Um... Marc Trestman was Steve Young's OC with the 49ers from 95-96.

Well, we have to wait at least another week for Kubiak. If they are really interested in him, I would like to see them wait for an interview before hiring anyone else.

He can be interviewed this week but not hired until the Ravens are out of the playoffs.

the pro game is different than canadian football Trestman would make a good OC like Norv Turner

He can't even be interviewed this week since he said he won't do any interviews as long as the Ravens are in the playoffs.

you should feel that way,, we do not go to super bowls to lose them, and in my opinion roman and jh prevented us from winning that super bowl, plain and simple,, whenever i miss jim,, i think of that and all of the times he enabled roman and then i see a oc tonight from the ravens not even have to deal with any playclock issues,,,, then its easy for me to forget jim

That's wisdom right there chief!

How do you figure?? The 49ers couldn't even make the playoffs until Jim Harbaugh was hired as head coach. The idea that Jim prevented the 49ers from winning is simply delusional, they didn't have a winning season for a decade. The 49ers had no idea how to win football games until he showed up.. A lot of people have ex gf syndrome around here.

Would take this.
Baalke/Jed and co. better not rush try through this process. It's better to take your time, even if you have to wait a little, finding the right guy rather than trying rush through it and settle with some other guy without thoroughly evaluating all options. This is a critical decision that will either help propel us to where we once were and further or knock us down a few pegs. Do not rush it.

That Ravens team from last year, their offense was a complete mess kind of like ours was this year. Oline was a dumpster fire, Flacco struggled, pedestrian run game. Many of their stats last year mirrored ours this season. They hire Kubiak and he comes in and fixed them up almost overnight, it's unreal. That alone and on top of a brilliantly called game from Kubes tonight deserves at least an interview. I'm watching this game and thinking of all the possibilities with Kap and Hyde and how they'd thrive in that system.

His health is a concern but if it checks out, he's a veteran coach and not as old as Shanny. He comes from a strong coaching tree, he's been in the league for about 2 decades, he surely the has connections to assemble a pretty nice staff, especially offensively. And if he meshes well with Fangio (i.e leave him alone and let him run his show ), even better.
