He also intimated (without actually saying it) that Denver's Adam Gase appears to be the leading candidate right now.

Atlanta could get the first crack at interviewing Todd Bowles (someone made a prediction he'd wind up there)

Even though Josh McDaniels is interviewing, no guarantee he'd accept if offered a job, he HIGHLY values what he has in NE (my take, he's scared)

Boomer Esiason - "Everyone wants the Falcons job because of Matt Ryan, stop OVERRATING the 49ers roster NCommand! (not srs)"

This is hilarious. Guys want to coach Cutler and Ryan over a QB who's beat them both esp. when it mattered most? Please. Cutler is the biggest head case out there. HE IS A REAL COACH KILLER. Ryan has been everything but Matty Ice for the past several years...see last Candlestick game and NFCCG.

I think people overrate Matt Ryan. But I really don't want Josh mcdaniels and don't understand why anyone is interested. All he has done away from Tom Brady and Belichik is fall flat on his face. All of the Belichik deciples have fallen flat on their faces when they branch out on their own. Mcdaniels went back home to let the patriot machine make him look good again and teams are falling over themselves to fall for the same trick.

Don't believe everything you hear, especially around this time of year. Both teams and candidates are jockeying for leverage and trying to apply pressure to the other, its all part of the game and the media tends to be more full of s**t than usual.

Jim Harbaugh reportedly on verge of accepting Miami Dolphins offer

Dan LeBatard, of ESPN and the Miami Herald, reportedly said on his radio show Thursday afternoon that Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh has accepted the Miami Dolphins' head coaching position.

An NFL source told the San Jose Mercury News on Thursday afternoon that the Miami Dolphins are on the brink of luring Harbaugh away from Stanford.

"Indications are that Jim Harbaugh will accept Miami's huge offer," The Mercury News' Tim Kawakami tweeted. "Not a done deal, but everything is pointing that way."

I'd probably be OK with this.

Mike Shanahan traded up to draft Jay Cutler. Jay Cutler is his guy. So of course he is going to want to coach him again to prove to everyone he was right in picking him and to prove how great of a coach he still is. Atlanta has Matt Ryan (4,694 yards, 28 TDs, 93 QB rating) and throwing to Julio Jones & Roddy White. That is appealing to a lot of coaches. Oh and in that NFCCG you brought up Ryan was 30-42 (71.4%) for 396 yards 3 TDs 1 INT and a 114.8 QB rating.

How could anyone say the 49ers isn't the best job right now, they're a Playoff ready team all they need is someone to point them in the direction. If I was the hottest head coaching candidate the 49ers would be my first choice.

Bears/Cutler - LMFAO

Falcons/Crap defense - LMFAO

Bills/QB Situation - LMFAO

Raiders/rebuilding team - LMFAO

Jets/QB Situation - LMFAO

49ers - QB check, RB check, WR's check, O-line well maybe 1 or 2 players will be needed otherwise all good no real problem, TE check, D-line could be a small problem but nothing Aldon Smith, Navaro Bowman and Patrick Willis can't help but counter that. Keep Vic Fangio at DC and you're set.

To be fair, I take LaCanfora with a grain of salt. His 'sources' tend to be wrong more often than not.

49ers won't offer a head coach full power. Something I imagine is probably negotiable in Chicago and might be negotiable in Atlanta after the owner just came out and said that the new HC would have a hand in selecting who the GM will be. #VeryAwkwardforDimitroff

Where did you see LaCanfora mentioned in that at all?
Atlanta is definitely a top spot for a guy like Rex Ryan. They have the offense in place he just needs to fix the defense which he obviously feels he can do.

Likewise we should be a top pick for any offensive minded Coach.

I can definitely buy that. Rex doesn't have to worry about finding a QB or even doing too much tinkering with the offense, he has to work to his strength and that is building and coaching up a defense. I think if they hire anyone but a strong defensive minded head coach, they are f**king up.

He would also likely be able to choose his own GM, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how much the head coach wants a "yes man" and not a truly qualified personnel guy.

Cutler was his guy. I'm sure Cutler is nobody's guy now. The power to have some personnel choices may be intriguing though. Ryan is a good QB in a heavily dependent pass-only offense. His WR's have been beat to hell over the years. Their defense blows but I don't think even their offense scares anyone.
