To be fair, I take LaCanfora with a grain of salt. His 'sources' tend to be wrong more often than not.

I am not the biggest Gase fan. If i am picking only from "young offensive minds" he would be my pick though. But even the Denver media is unsure he has what it takes to command an NFL locker room. My biggest concern is still he has Manning running that show and i am willing to bet he is able to cover up a lot of the questionable calls Gase makes. Something i don't think Kap will be able to do. I just wish he had been a coordinator anywhere else but Denver. I mean McCoy was also called a genius after his first year with Manning and he is 18-14 so far in SD.

Just a general point. Nothing to do with your post. Sorry for confusion.

Bears/Cutler - LMFAO

Falcons/Crap defense - LMFAO

Bills/QB Situation - LMFAO

Raiders/rebuilding team - LMFAO

Jets/QB Situation - LMFAO

49ers - QB check, RB check, WR's check, O-line well maybe 1 or 2 players will be needed otherwise all good no real problem, TE check, D-line could be a small problem but nothing Aldon Smith, Navaro Bowman and Patrick Willis can't help but counter that. Keep Vic Fangio at DC and you're set.

And this is why we have already had so many interviews with even more on the docket.

Atlanta is pretty much interviewing the same guys we are.

Fair points. It is harder to tease out.

This. I hope that isn't because they are both getting their cues from Korn Ferry.

We got em all first though. J/k.

I think we are clearly the most attractive job to any HC who really wants to win. That said a HC may want power too and that could be an issue.
I'm trying to remember that last HC who was also a good GM and personnel guy. Anyone?

Bill Belichick

Even Holmgren was a GM too but he was pretty poor IIRC.

Bill? It seems much of his success has come from FA signings and doing a nice job if restocking yearly while rarely caving in to big $ demands. But that coaching up, being cap responsible, and finding the right fits are part of the GM job. Plus having Brady coach up the new WR's every year helps too.

But he also wasn't given personnel decisions till a few years into his tenure.

49ers are gaining a rep of having a meddlesome ownership. No coach worth a s**t wants to deal with that.

I know right? We can't even get interviews!

If that were the case, these guys wouldn't be wasting their time interviewing for the position, correct? Why spend several hours interviewing for a position you know you will not accept? Just another media fabrication.

Eh Harbaugh already had that rep before coming here. It definitely didn't help, but I think the league understands Jim rubs people the wrong way a lot of times.

We are still a solid roster with a new stadium in a warm state. Coaches will want to be here.
