Cincinnati opening sucks because they could be looking for an offensive guy to develop Dalton as well. Good things are they will playing from behind but talent wise they're stacked. Good d, good run game, and AJ Green.

There owner is cheap would not be surprised if they go in house promotion with hue jackson

Please let it be G.Kubiak with Fangio still be the DC. That's almost 50 years of NFL experience put together. Wishful thinking tho..

Kubiak fired Fangio when he became the HC of the Texans.

would you keep the coordinator who just ran the #31 ranked defense?

No, what make you think Fangio want to work with Kubiak?

I never said he would. We have no idea what he will do. But outside of the 49ers, Fangio has one top 10 defense in his career. He might realize how good he has it here and stay.

I like Mike Shanahan because 1) I think our run first offense would thrive in a zbs 2) Mike made RGlll look like a pro bowler until the selfish player put himself above the team 3) The west coast passing game is exactly what our recievers are built for, stretching the field horizontally.

Kubiak runs zone blocking and gase throws it in there as well...not just shanny.

Kap is the opposite of a WCO QB...mike isnt the long term answer

So is the speculation legit because I just opened this thread and saw Lewis's job may be on the hot seat?

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said after the game he plans to be back next year. There is no reason to think owner Mike Brown won't welcome him back with open arms. Brown remembers what the Bengals looked like before Lewis showed up, despite his excruciating 0-6 record in the playoffs.

Of course he plans on being back. The question is what will the owner do. Nor Bors is right he is the cheapest man on the planet and if Lewis has years remaining he's not going anywhere.

No thank you. Was I the only one who watched the game yesterday? His defense cannot tackle at all. That should be the first thing taught

This..

His 24th ranked defense vs. Fangios 5th ranked defense? I'll take Fangio over T.Bowles please! Bowles defense never ranked in the top 5 like Fangios.

Agreed their defense can not tackle and they blitz too much

It was more Mike Shanahan put himself above the team by putting a clearly hurt RGIII back on the field in the Seattle game and then he blows his knee out. Shanahan had even said Dr. James Andrews cleared him to play, following an injury he got against the Ravens, when Andrews had not cleared him to play in the playoff game.

It was reported that Mike and Kyle were fans of Kirk Cousins and had him playing well when filling in for RG3. It was also reported that RGlll was Dan
Snyder 's pick. If these reports are true, why would Mike not take the opportunity to show case his hand picked QB in the playoffs? The only thing I can think of is Dan Snyder and RGlll forced Shanahan's hand. As long as the Doctor says it's okay, RGlll is the starter. During the press conference following the defeat to the Seahawks RGlll said something along the lines of, RGlll at 30% is better than anyone else they could have put in there. That to me says it all. I'll give Mike Shanahan the benefit of a doubt.

Depends who's WCO you're running. For example, McCarthy's WCO is radically different from Kubiak/Shanahan.

Kap is a good fit for Kubiak/Shanahan. It's heavily reliant on the zone run game, and running bootleg play action to have the QB throw on the move. Move the pocket constantly. Kap is made for it.

Playoff football is an entirely different beast, isn't it? Don't matter how well you played in the regular season, you have to have that something extra to raise your game. That's why I'm still high on our team, and any HC should be too. We have a bunch of players who ball out in the playoffs.
