Playoff football is an entirely different beast, isn't it? Don't matter how well you played in the regular season, you have to have that something extra to raise your game. That's why I'm still high on our team, and any HC should be too. We have a bunch of players who ball out in the playoffs.

Sure is some of these team are terrible.our team with its head out it's ass.......so much better

Who do you think he might bring on as offensive coaches?

He has worked with Mornhinweg and Chud before. He could reach into the Parcells connection rolodex for someone like Charlie Weis.

Really have no clue though as to who he may have on his short list. He has been coaching for over 15 years so he likely has a good sized list of contacts.

I like Mike Shanahan because 1) I think our run first offense would thrive in a zbs 2) Mike made RGlll look like a pro bowler until the selfish player put himself above the team 3) The west coast passing game is exactly what our recievers are built for, stretching the field horizontally.

Kubiak runs zone blocking and gase throws it in there as well...not just shanny.

Kap is the opposite of a WCO QB...mike isnt the long term answer

It's quite obvious by the poll percentages that I'm not the only one that thinks Shanahan is the best choice. Shanahan is obviously a great choice for the short term. He is also the best choice long term because I believe he is capable of grooming someone for the future. Remember Kubiak is a product of Shanhan, not the other way around. What offensive coordinator from any of these other candidates have gone on to be successful coaches in the NFL?

Packing a defense does wonders. I never really thought dallas had the defense to do damage. It always scares me when a defense is sub par and relies solely on turnovers. You can do it, that's pretty much what 2009 New Orleans did, but it takes a super special offense.

Detroit is a scary 6 seed IMO.

Agreed. I think with Detroit's run defense, they have the best chance of shutting down Marshawn Lynch. I can't trust Romo this time around and Aaron Rodgers did not look so hot up there earlier this year.

No thank you. Was I the only one who watched the game yesterday? His defense cannot tackle at all. That should be the first thing taught

Well one game gives you a good sample size of what he is capable of right ? Especially given all the injuries they have had in the front 7. Yes they were sloppy but you can't judge one game and conclude he cannot or does not teach and preach fundamentals or that he did not work vigorously to prepare them. Did you realize that despite all those injuries that AZ finished top 5 in points allowed per game ?

Give Bowles all the defensive talent we have and we will remain a top defense. He has not had the luxury of having pass rushers like we have in AZ.

I don't think Kubiak even gets a shot, I think by Wednesday or Thursday we hear Shanahan is the new coach.

He is the big name people always want the big name. He has one winning season in his last 6 seasons. Who's he gonna groom? Whats wrong with getting a young offensive minded OC? Shanny was one at one pt....

If he even gets hired it will be by Chicago where he will get some say in the front office.

Shanahan has ONE playoff win since Elway retired. I think we can do better then that.
I have every belief that we are going to field a great coaching staff next year, on both sides.

All the b******t aside, several coaches want to come here. Increased competition between
Shanahan/s
Kubiak
Bowles
Gase
Rex (don't hate, he would ball with our D)
Any other dark horse

Pretty much guarantees that the cream will rise to the top, and we're probably going to choose between 2-3 really good coaching squads. I bet next year our offensive staff will make us laugh of the days Mangini coached TEs and Roman coached anything.
The refs really want the cowboys to win wow

OR...we could suck more than this year. It goes both ways and it's always a 50/50 chance.
