The real question is can someone as young as he is command an entire team, some of whom are as old as he is. If he tries the "Who's got it better than us" in a squeaky, pre-pubescent voice ... that will not cut it

I have to hand it to Denver though...They started with hot passing attack, but implemented great rushing as the season progressed. I wonder why the change.
Manning has a definite ceiling on his "pitch count". If they literally throw him out, his range will drop to ten yards. Plus, you have to be able to run the ball. You're not going to make it throwing every down, period. Look what happened to the 49ers with predictable playcalling. That will happen to everyone if they don't at least try to be proficient in all sides of the ball.

Just like the Harbaugh stuff that turned out to be 100% true.

Other than not being a head coach before, can we list the pros and cons of this dude, Gase?
Pros:
- Super detailed oriented above and beyond mentality
Cons:
untested, no head coaching experience, unsure if can he command a locker room
Pros:
- Is said to work great with other minds and is flexible.
- Well respected once people see him work
Pros:
- Will stay on his side of the ball!!! That definitely works with this team!

No, its just the "hire really old guys" crowd that is irate. There is a many here that wanted Gase all along. He has consistently been one of the most popular candidates.

I do not believe the question will be about whether he can get a competent offense installed here, and help Kap. Re member, it is more than the Manning doubts (that Manning is the real OC). He won with Tebow after all. He was able to adjust to strengths.

Pros:
- Super detailed oriented above and beyond mentality
Background in all major offensive systems. Been around some great coaches and game plans adapt to players.
- Two years with Manning and he got Manning some of his best years in production. This also includes Manning's injured games.

- Said to be one of the smartest offensive minds in football
- Managed to navigate between Elway and Fox with no negative results to his reputation
- Handled Manning's ego

Wrong. There is another crowd that is irate and it is the 'Fangio needs to stay" crowd. Hiring Gase most likely means he doesn't and that is disappointing to say the least
