A new system would mean new terminology, new schemes, and possibly the necessary players to run Gase's system. Kaep just got comfortable with the other system plus he's dealing with common sense plays and accuracy issues.

Mike McCarthy haven't never ever been a HC before he became one with the Packers. 6 years as an OC with the Saints and Niners before that. Worked out very well if you ask me.

Yeah because the offensive system they had been running was working so well
IF they just improve the offense and keep the defense the same...sounds like a SB caliber team to me

He may be an offensive genius, but even Bill Walsh struggled against tough defenses. The niners need a tough cowheresque type coach, not a Sean Peyton.

Besides Pete what have the other head coaches done?? And who said SF wasn't tough all of a sudden?
He wasnt in this tough division though when he did win, and if I recall it was a soft year. Also, he hasnt fared so well against this division lately.

They did the same in AZ. The radio host was blasting the Niners for hiring an inexperienced coach, and then he turned around and blasted a NY reporter for saying Bowles was too young and inexperienced.

Personally, I would have liked him to have at least few more years of OC experience (without Manning).
