Sure, as long it is not wide receivers.

Or we might learn that both Patton and Ellington are pretty good receivers and that the previous wide receivers coach was incompetent.

Other than not being a head coach before, can we list the pros and cons of this dude, Gase?

Pros:
  • Super detailed oriented above and beyond mentality

Cons:

untested, no head coaching experience, unsure if can he command a locker room

Pros:
  • Is said to work great with other minds and is flexible.
  • Well respected once people see him work

Pros:
  • Will stay on his side of the ball!!! That definitely works with this team!

Pros:
  • Said to be one of the smartest offensive minds in football
  • Managed to navigate between Elway and Fox with no negative results to his reputation
  • Handled Manning's ego

Cons:
  • Couldn't get Manning to look good against SEA in the SB.
  • 1 SB loss as an OC

Sean Payton couldn't get Keri Collins to look good against Balitimore. Andy Reid couldn't get Mcnabb to look good against NE. Harbaugh couldn't get Kaep to look good against Baltimore. Who would ever want those guys as head coaches!
Bowles deal is Four years for just over $4 mill per year. That's New York so are they cheap? I wonder what GASE was initially offered. Should be around $4 mill per year.

I dunno...as much as I've been a Fangio supporter for HC...I'm starting to like the Gase hire if it goes that way.

If Jack Del Rio gets hired as #Raiders coach, fired Falcons head coach Mike Smith is Del Rio's top choice as defensive coordinator.

Sounds right. He was his DC in Jax.

The Oakland jaguars are born.
Did Elway blow up the team using the playoff loss as an excuse, when in reality it was because he was knee deep salary cap s**t. I wonder if he would have done the same had they won the Superbowl...
I admit, I am kinda EXCITED its an offensive mind Gase and not caveman Tomesula.

Good nickname for him next season..."The Caveman"
It will be great to have an all-out attacking offense again.

Not sure where these 'salary cap hell' posts are coming from. The two sites I use for salary cap stuff say that Denver is $20-30 million under the cap for next season.
