We are just waiting on Gase. It's obvious that we want him. I haven't heard any other reports about interviews lined up or 2nd interviews. I'm sure Baalke offered him something last night. And if i am remembering correctly, I think he told Harbaugh to go home and think about it, sleep on it, talk to the family, etc...

I'm sure he did the same with Gase.

I think Gase becomes our coach today...

If Jack Del Rio gets hired as #Raiders coach, fired Falcons head coach Mike Smith is Del Rio's top choice as defensive coordinator.

LOL! Since when have the Falcons ever had a defense??

Maybe he will stay.

Doesn't sound like it

Unrestricted:
Demaryius Thomas, wide receiver
Wes Welker, wide receiver
Jacob Tamme, tight end
Terrance Knighton, defensive tackle
Rahim Moore, safety
Orlando Franklin, guard/tackle
Nate Irving, linebacker
Quinton Carter, safety
Virgil Green, tight end
Julius Thomas, tight end
Will Montgomery, center
Mitch Unrein, defensive tackle

Restricted:
Tony Carter, cornerback
Brandon Marshall, linebacker
Steven Johnson, linebacker
Aaron Brewer, long snapper
Paul Cornick, tackle

Big names there, they had the money cap wise, to keep some of them. Must be next year that they are in trouble, Ward, Ware, Manning deals escalating.

22 mil doesn't cover a fifth of that list.

The #49ers have been preparing for possibility they lose DC Vic Fangio. They talked in HC interviews about defensive coaches, I'm told.

Of course. You know Baalke will always cover every base.

hah, in the end its all about getting that Franchise QB.

True..look who is left in the playoffs

Its true. No matter who is the coach I am not sold on Kap. He cant throw an accurate touch pass to a WR in stride for s**t.

Wrong opinion is wrong

huh?

Yea let's hope they hire Lebeau soon.

Exactly....elway took his swing and now the Broncos are gonna struggle to compete for at least a couple of seasons.

He was a really good DC in Jacksonville.

Could we possibly bring over one of those WR's?

No.

Yes...would free up picks to replace any retiring vets (please don't retire Justin!). There are several DLmen moving up the draft charts that might be nice to add.

Seriously, any lateral move is a complete demotion. He will make the most money here. He has the best D on this job market. Who wants to move away/relocate for less money for an inferior D? This would hurt him, career wise. Uncooperative.

And the REAL question is, "Can we make a run at the Superbowl in 2015." I think, with or without Manning in 2015, you'd have to answer, "No" and I think that is where Elway is at. Keep that $21M cap hit for Manning and start rebuilding now. Your 2-year window has closed.

wow if we get julies Thomas TE and get rid of VD the Disease or the Brand .

As much as I would like Demariyus and Julius I think Julius would be more essential since the draft is thin on TE's this year. Plus we are in prime position to land one of Devante Parker, Jaelen Strong, Kevin White or DGB.
