Maybe Elway complied with the Rooney rule by having one of his car salesmen conduct a phone interview with a minority candidate for HC.

11 regular season games. For as much of a clown Rex is he does a great job with defense, they also have 3 pro bowlers on their Dline. For all of Romans shortcomings his run schemes were great and the AFC East isn't the NFC West.

Kubiak was John Elway's backup during his playing career with the Broncos.
Gary Kubiak is expected to be named the head coach of the Denver Broncos, despite previously insisting he would stay with the Baltimore Ravens, according to a report from ___.
Kubiak, 53, served only one season as the offensive coordinator for the Ravens after eight seasons as the head coach of the Houston Texans. He has a lengthy history with the Broncos though, and was the team's offensive coordinator for 11 seasons from 1995-2005. Kubiak also played quarterback for the Broncos for nine seasons as John Elway's backup, starting just five games for the team.
The reunion with Elway was evidently too much to pass up on for Kubiak, who released a statement telling reporters that he intended to stay as the offensive coordinator of the Ravens.
"This is a special organization and we, like [head] coach [John] Harbaugh says, are building something great. I want to be a part of that and contribute in whatever ways I can."
Kubiak was considered a candidate for the vacant head coaching jobs of the Chicago Bears and New York Jets at that time, but John Fox was still in place as the head coach of the Broncos at that time. Fox was let go by the team a few hours after Kubiak released his statement.
The Texans compiled a 61-64 record in Kubiak's time with the team and a 2-2 record in the postseason.

Ed Donatell's interview for the Skins vacant DC job is early next week. Would be Vic Fangio's DC if Fangio gets the SF head coach job
My guess was Mangina as the DC if Fangio got the HC job. Donatell......better yet. so who will be Fangio's OC, I think that's what everyone wants to know??
I know Tomsula and Quinn like Dirk Koetter.

hah, in the end its all about getting that Franchise QB.
True..look who is left in the playoffs
Its true. No matter who is the coach I am not sold on Kap. He cant throw an accurate touch pass to a WR in stride for s**t.
Wrong opinion is wrong
Last time I checked, during the first rams game kaps td best touch pass I've seen on the run this year by any qb
With our players on defense, almost any dc would work. Just like Seattle.
If we get a better situational play caller which is anyone, we win a game like the SB and many other games we lost like the rams this year.
huh? Why was he running in the first place? I'm not bashing the guy, he's just not accurate. One play in one out of 16 games played is not a great sample size to say hes accurate. The first Rams game was his best of the year. He was throwing to the next window before the receiver was even there. However its hard to say how he has progressed/regressed since the o-line was s**t this year.
What i mean is Gase could end up our HC and be good, but no-one really knows if a KAP is a SB winning qb.
Like the Super Bowl? lol sorry I am just not sold on the guy.

Anyone else think Gase would be a mistake? I'm sure he will improve our offense ranking, but he won't get us any closer to beating Seattle's D. Unless he adapts to what works best with our personnel (two backs, run first) if he is truly a Martz disciple at heart, we are screwed.
I'm not doing back flips but I'm optimistic. Seeing the 180 Denver took riding CJ Anderson into the playoffs shows he can be fluid. The situation made it necessary and they did it. Adapt. That's all I ask. Don't be close minded.
Ya I think he has shown he can be adaptable, but his track record vs Seattle sucks. In last year's SB and this yr's rematch, Denver rushed for 63 yards COMBINED IN TWO GAMES.
Every time we lose to Seattle, it's because Gore gets shut down and our offense turns one dimesional. If we can't get a coach to figure out how to run on their D, we will never beat them.
