Kubiak to be named HC of Broncos

yah just read that

Yeah the link was taken down. Somebody jumped the gun

The guy who doesn't want to be a HC because of his health wants to work for a GM that just fired an entire coaching staff one year removed from a superbowl appearance?

SB Nation also took the link down

This. Some Bronco fan with wishful thinking. There is a chance that Kubiak could change his mind to work for his buddy Elway but theres zero evidence for it right now.

If Gase couldn't win it all with Peyton, how the hell is he supposed to win with Kaep?

Better defense

And Kap is already a better playoff qb than Manning lol

Manning = LEGENDARY regular season QB, below average playoff QB
Kap = average regular season QB, very good playoff QB (until he locks into Crabtree to go for the win).

hah, in the end its all about getting that Franchise QB.

True..look who is left in the playoffs

Its true. No matter who is the coach I am not sold on Kap. He cant throw an accurate touch pass to a WR in stride for s**t.

Wrong opinion is wrong

Last time I checked, during the first rams game kaps td best touch pass I've seen on the run this year by any qb

With our players on defense, almost any dc would work. Just like Seattle.

If we get a better situational play caller which is anyone, we win a game like the SB and many other games we lost like the rams this year.

huh? Why was he running in the first place? I'm not bashing the guy, he's just not accurate. One play in one out of 16 games played is not a great sample size to say hes accurate. The first Rams game was his best of the year. He was throwing to the next window before the receiver was even there. However its hard to say how he has progressed/regressed since the o-line was s**t this year.

What i mean is Gase could end up our HC and be good, but no-one really knows if a KAP is a SB winning qb.
We do know when the defensive goes to s**t, Kap can win you big games.

Like the Super Bowl? lol sorry I am just not sold on the guy.
Like playoff games against the Packers at home and in GB. Playoff game on the Road in Carolina, NFCCG on the Road in Atlanta when they went down like 17 points. Kept fighting back in the SEA NFCCG on the road last year, was one of the bright spots from that game.
Point made. I want to see more pocket presence and reads. I felt like he was trying this year, but didn't have much time in the pocket. There are just times he completely misses a guy. He is also good for a bad decision. Like the gimme pick in the NFCCG.

Anyone else think Gase would be a mistake? I'm sure he will improve our offense ranking, but he won't get us any closer to beating Seattle's D. Unless he adapts to what works best with our personnel (two backs, run first) if he is truly a Martz disciple at heart, we are screwed.

I'm not doing back flips but I'm optimistic. Seeing the 180 Denver took riding CJ Anderson into the playoffs shows he can be fluid. The situation made it necessary and they did it. Adapt. That's all I ask. Don't be close minded.

Ya I think he has shown he can be adaptable, but his track record vs Seattle sucks. In last year's SB and this yr's rematch, Denver rushed for 63 yards COMBINED IN TWO GAMES.

Every time we lose to Seattle, it's because Gore gets shut down and our offense turns one dimesional. If we can't get a coach to figure out how to run on their D, we will never beat them.

They lost to Seattle in Seattle in overtime! You make it sound like they got blown out lol.. the defense let up a ton of huge plays especially in over time....Denver and SF are not the same team not even close. So why would he run the same plays?
Pairing a Top 5 defense with an offensive mind that helped guide the Top 5 offense could be dangerous. I am cautiously optimistic about Gase--ESPECIALLY if we can convince Vic to stay. If Gase has any sense of how to use our personnel and is able to get plays off in time then I think the sky is the limit for our offense.

Maybe Elway complied with the Rooney rule by having one of his car salesmen conduct a phone interview with a minority candidate for HC.
Maybe Gase is Russian. Does that comply with the Rooney rule?

I think his real name is Anatoly Gasanovsky.
Jason Cole ‏@JasonPhilCole

FWIW, #49ers haven't talked about Quinn for several days. All signs point toward Gase at this point.

True, he almost had the exact same INT against GB the week prior. But that back foot dart/lob to Boldin for a TD made up for that. lol.. Great play.
Everybody here is the bottom line. Almost certainly gase is a better play caller and OC than roman. He actually can adjust AFTER HALFTIME and I'm sure if we have the ball inside the 5 yardline in a very important game like the sb or even the 2nd rams game this year he will run it at least once ;) also, if our qb is getting sacked and pressured almost every dam play, he will adjust. I'm sure some of the bubble screens to wrs and dump offs were his calls.....something roman should of done a least 3 times a game with 2 of the best wrs at yac in boldin and Crabtree. Dam. Trust me. If the niners d is still top 5-10 and the offense is top 15 we will be set for the playoffs.
has Jim Schwartz ever run a 3-4

Well said!

If Kubiak goes to Denver it seems almost all the team signed their targets. I'm sure targets changed as guys said "Don't ask me" but that's how it always works. I have to believe John Elway had already made a deal with Kubiak but couldn't/can't release it until complying with the Rooney Rule and the coach becomes officially available.

So, if Kubiak was predestined to Denver, and we didn't wan't Ryan, then Gase was the guy all along. Offense and great reputation...and he gets along with management.
One thing I can say I really like about the idea of Gase becoming HC is that Grant Cohen doesn't like the idea. One of the problems I have with Fangio becoming HC is that Grant Cohen thinks it's a good idea.
